Yes you're probably right. I think he's been stung by agents in the past so he won't want to appear desperate as they'll start raking the prices up.

I was thinking about this the other day. it wouldn't surprise me if there are a lot of players who are desperate to just get their next year or two sorted out, but their agents are playing hard ball because their cut will have reduced massively with the introduction of the salary cap.

 

Not seen the tweet, but there is no way McCall should be happy going into the season with a strike force of Guthrie, Donaldson and Novak. If he is, then this season is going to be a long struggle. Roll on 2021-2022 season is all I will say, nothing to look forward to this season for one reason or another

 

Agents are the devil's of the game. A lot of players get a bad rep because of the phantom agents behind the scenes.

 

I was thinking that myself too. An awful lot of players might find themselves without a club. Maybe the power of the agents will finally come to an end in L1 and L2

I may have misinterpreted it slightly, but it says he is relaxed which i'm sure he cannot be but is saying so to stop the bastard agents ripping us off.

 

I'm guessing they might be pretty worried about losing business right now. I mean, what's the point in continuing to pay an agent to get you a better deal when for the majority of players,in leagues 1 and 2, there isn't going to be much of an option to get a better deal anymore (financially at least).

 

I struggle to see the point in agents in football at all.
