No, we are struggling to find any. The Hiwula rumour was stopped short in its tracks with an emphatic no by Alan Nixon yesterday. So we await the next one.

Strangely not a hint of a right back rumour

Surely the Hiwula rumour still has legs. A 'no' from Nixon is like Boris saying he won't change his mind.

If he can be persuaded to drop to L2 after being part of a team promoted to the Championship, he'd be a good signing, in my view.

"We have to make some finance available, so we might have to lose more players"

    Russell Martin
He may have released nine players last week, but Russell Martin expects other players to depart this summer.

As the manager looks to put his stamp on the MK Dons squad this summer, Martin offered three contracts to the 14 players whose deals were up at the end of June, while taking up the option on youngster Jay Bird for another season. With squads likely to shrink after the coronavirus pandemic, Martin says there is very little room in the dressing room for players who are not a part of his immediate plans. Players like Kieran Agard, Jordan Bowery and Hiram Boateng are all signed up for the 2020/21 season, but none played beyond January 7 under Martin's regime and could be on the list of players the manager looks to part with to make room for new signings.
Could this be one of the players McCall mentioned regarding clubs wanting to get players off the books.
Might have legs this rumour this article would suggest that he's available.

"There will be a few players who haven't played a lot for us who might have to move on and play for their own careers," said Martin. "There is a lot that goes into that. We have to make some finance available, so we might have to lose more players, but we do not need to sell key players. There's not a fire sale.

What is it with us and 30+ year old strikers? As a reputedly sustainable club surely we should be looking at players that can hopefully be developed for a sell on fee?

We should, and it would also be nice if we were looking at replacing with Vaughan with a player that has scored more than 22 league goals in the past 5 years, regardless of their age.

Jordan Bowery would have been a better choice from MK Dons but as usual we have been beaten to the signing by others, He has gone to Mansfield who are building a very strong squad.

Didn’t Nixon ghost write McCall’s autobiography? I’d imagine Nixon knows McCall well enough to ask him. Of course McCall may not be open with him, but I’d imagine most things he says about Stuart are true.

Your joking aren’t you go look on the Mansfield message board and they are probably moaning more than on here if that’s possible they have lost their star winger they have lost Maynard a goal scorer and look like losing Danny Rose and signed Bowery and just look at his scoring record we have no worries on that score

I detect some frustration with the way two other 'Transfer' threads have gone off course and I understand that. Hopefully that won't be the case in this thread.

To keep it on track, we'll simply remove posts unrelated to transfer rumours etc whether that's bashing Rupp or Parker or Rahic or other posters or anything else others enjoy. Those who decide to continue posting stuff unrelated to transfer rumours will also be removed from the thread.

I hope that is clear to everybody.

Agard 2 in 19 last season at league one level but season before 20 in 43 at league TWO level. He may be 31 but as a team that finished 77th of 91 teams, a salary cap of 1.5m, we also have to be realistic of expectations. Yes a young hungry lad with good underlying stats from the lower leagues would be nice but would that gamble be correct at this time?

Already have 3/4 strikers on the books whom have (very) poor goalscoring records. Is it fair to throw a rookie in to fire us to promotion (which Rupp is under pressure to do so) or bring experience in?

The rookie can wait 6 to 12 months as we move on the ageing, underperforming players already on our books. Their again, knowing this club....

You do read a lot of other message boards, don't you? You tell us what they (supposedly) say but never link any actual quotations.
You should if anybody, realise that fans get quite a lot of things incorrect, so often.
