Not finished but certainly in the final stages - which is why another striker is absolutely essential

 

Not having a go but with what Vaughan said to McCall that he would give no effort of selected what action would you have taken ?.
I'm not sure reading the T&A with regards Vaughans attitude the club had little choice.

 

Apologies for butting in but Stuarts action was absolutely the right stance, the key for me is that was half of the job - the other is finding the best replacement he can

 

I can't see us replacing James Vaughan with a like for like player, there was no doubt about his ability, but there was always a doubt about his attitude and demeanor.
With regards his replacement only time will tell, but my hopes aren't to high.

 

Yup I agree he needed to go. But I'm sure he can't be relaxed on finding a replacement.

 

He shouldn't be happy with a midfield of Cooke, Watt plus whoever else but that's where we are.

Sure 'relaxed' isnt exactly how he is really feeling but be even worse if he said he was worried about finding a replacement!

 

They sort the legal shit out and make sure the player does not enter into contract clauses they are not happy with so on and so on. They are important but they take the piss. They are suppose to look after the best interest of the players but they just want a big payday.

 

What I don’t understand is why the PFA can’t provide that service for the player.

 

Let me get this right; McCall said the other day we’re looking to bring in another striker following the departure of Vaughan. Nixon, who frequently gets a lot of things wrong, states the opposite and suddenly we’re definitely not signing anyone.

 

To be fair the midfield with Cullen Lee Evans wasn't bad!

Probably the 3rd best midfield partnership I've ever seen at city and grossly underappreciated IMO.

 

He didn't state the opposite, he said he was relaxed about it.

 

You should know Simon Parker does not push the club enough it might just be Simon's opinion hes printing .

 

No there isn't and of course it will still happen, but clubs are only going to be able to offer the better deals to a few players and the majority that are left will all be chasing pretty similar deals.

 

It was Alan Nixon not Parker. And it’s a non story all he said basically was he wasn’t worrying about the length of time it was taking
