Unless Gills are paying a 6 figure fee with at least a 40% sell on clause it's a no for me. I'd rather let him run his contract down and help us to finish as strongly as possible, than let Evans and some tinpot team with an 11,000 stadium and a temporary away end sign him.

I wouldn't sell him either. But why is the Gillingham stadium relevant? And the sad reality is, they're a league higher than we are. They're a more attractive proposition than we are right now, so you wouldn't blame him for wanting the move.

Our fans are good for a laugh, one telling the club to feck off because one WUM account says Wood is off who has been wrong on everything except when they have copied something said on here or the cows arse.

I don't get how Park Avenue being successful would impact us. Its not like current City fans would jump ship.
It would also stoke some cracking local derbies, something that we've been missing for a long time. In fact, I would say the lack of good derbies is what has held us back. Look at our fixture list and how many of those are actually exciting. Bolton? Harrogate? If that's the best we are going to get then its no wonder why we struggle to attract new fans and keep interest.
If BPA ever made it back I would welcome it.

With Gareth Roberts as the clubs owner if he was serious about taking BPA forward we could be left way behind, we have to hope he only see it as a community club.

He has no intention of taking the club forward as a sugar daddy, it's set up to be a community club.

Yes let's hope he doesn't change his mind.
As an Avenue fan unlike our owner not being a Bradford City fan or even a football fan, Robert's certainly has the financial clout if he did change his mind.
We should get those two Bradford born lads who just bought the majority share holding in ASDA to come and join us ;).

They have just made the fans raise 9k to fund this years transfers kitty, He aint investing anytime soon.

He saw the opportunity to grab some land and took it. The ground is getting funded by charities, there are various clubs now renting out the ground for various activities, the academy/learning centre is funded elsewhere, Roberts himself is actually putting very little into this. A fan actually paid 30k for the fence being installed around the pitch and a few other bits and bobs.

He is definately worth a few bob but whats he doing with it is another story. His flights over here probably cost more than his investment last year

Sounds fair. Those deficits aren't going to pay for themselves.

We'll settle on 100k. Probably with us paying them, if they go up.

No we will loan him with us paying 75% wages … he will then improve 1000,000% and become the midfielders equivalent of the divisions top scorer standard and earn himself a move away and higher up...We will then look on passively and say what if …………………………………..and come on here and moan

Interesting reply, you say land grab, I was under the impression the park and the running track were council owned ?.

Yes me too, met him a few times and he's a genuinely good bloke, funny aswell. Most importantly though he will know how to run us and will bring some much needed enthusiasm.
