Its even worse on the likes of twitter, Man City and Leeds fans sucking each other off for fun after yesterdays game.

Leeds United were an average club before Don Revie, that's when the glory boys jumped ship and joined the band wagon.

Yes but live reasonably near the Leeds border. I used to go to some of the Leeds games but stopped around 68/69 as I didn't want to be associated with their fans behaviour(a cup loss at home to Bristol City). All clubs have the same ratio of nutters so Leeds have more nutters than us and I have felt embarrassed at some of our singing at "smaller" clubs like Rochdale. I find it laughable that I put on here that I don't hate Leeds and am then accused of being a Leeds lover and jealous of my neighbours lawnmowers. For what it is worth, I want all Yorkshire clubs to beat the "outsiders" and have an affinity with Barnsley and the Blades. If you don't like that, I couldn't give a toss.

Thats fair Bronco, i think its just me being annoyed at an overall system at the top. Dont care if its boring football. Bowyer would have done better if he had more time.

Can’t agree with you there mate. Bowyer had completely lost the dressing room by the time he was chopped. Zero chance he was turning that around.

See where you are coming from for we have had too many changes in a short space of time. When that happens, the new manager is tied to players that he doesn't want(sometimes a couple of managers previous) and has to try and implement the style he wants to play. Under normal circumstances, I think Bowyer would have been ok(I really wanted him to come in the first place) but we are potentially quite a big club and I think the pressure of expectancy took over his logic. We ended up with a chronically imbalanced squad(and some not good enough players) and sadly we had gone too far down the rocky road for him to turn it Stuart can't turn it roundi in a breath, so hopefully we can cut him a bit of slack.

Well said. Bellend Road ground is a complete sh@t tip as is the area around the ground. Lets not get ahead of ourselves on praise for the club. Bielsa will be gone when a decent club comes in for him .... if he can learn English. I live in Leeds it certainly isn't heaven !

We all support Bradford City for the same reasons and of course we will differ in our opinions at times, mainly in recent times its been down to frustration, thanks for taking it as it the right way, I was not trying to be smart.

When I lived in Harden nearly 20 years ago there was a bloke in the Fleece who would swear blind that Elland and the land around it was worth more than Stamford Bridge. The Chelsea one not the one near York. Deluded c*nts these Leeds lot

Probably is if "Elland and the land around it " extends to a 25 mile radius

I was simply explaining just why I dislike the club and wondering if maybe you were younger or wasn't born or lived in the City, which would probably have given you a different perspective.

I disagree that 'all clubs have the same ratio of nutters' though. In my experience, Leeds (and probably a few other clubs, like Pompey and Millwall) have, or more accurately these days had, a far higher proportions of active hooligans to 'normal' fans. Take that infamous Odsal game for instance. From what I saw, there seemed to be very few that day that didn't get involved in some way. Up Manchester Rd and the area surrounding the ground felt like something from the film Rourke's Drift!

Regarding your final sentence. No need to get all passive aggressive, I didn't in any way criticise or attempt to provoke you in my reply to your original post. You'd fit right in at Elland Road with that kind of attitude!

Thats football. Basic economics of football. If the player is worth the wait then its not last minute...tracked for weeks.

Wyke was last minute...And we jumped in quick on McLean,Doyle and Vaughan...signed very early or instantly replaced an outgoing.

    How did they work out?

We've had more Guthries than Wykes on deadline day though lets be honest.

Pure conjecture as to whether Bowyer would have been better but sacking him was the correct decision, one thing wrong was it should have been done a week or two earlier. I've seen some bad football at City in 40 or so years but Bowyers by the end was right up there.

Great result for Preston at Brentford yesterday. Not many teams can go to a fancied outfit in London, go 2 down and then win 4-2.
