My opinion that he has been thrown into senior coaching way too early, he's 33. He took a job at BPA, he was replaced because he ultimately failed didn't he?
He lacks professional football experience, from what I can tell he's never played a senior game of professional football. Can you imagine being a seasoned pro and some bloke who hasn't played a pro game in his career trying to tell you how to play? Wouldn't go down too fantastic with me.
Drury isn't a god send, if we want to be progressive we need to highlight the short comings and the coaching surely must be part of that.

If Drury gets the job no matter what statements come out from Bradford City and I am sure @wetherbywhaler and @Glenn Ackroyd would
agree that we are in deep trouble as a club.
Drury shouldn't be anywhere near being a number 2.

@wetherbywhaler warned us a few weeks ago that it could take up to five years to get back on an even keel financially. We get relegated lose 2 million and people are shocked that an out of contract coach is let go. Sadly I imagine other hard working staff may lose their jobs in the near future. It’s very sad but when you get relegated and lose 2 million cost cutting is what usually happens. Look at McCalls first spell after relegation and the players we signed that summer, not exactly players who live long in the memory.

There is so much wrong with last season, I think it goes beyond general discussion. If the training staff are a part of that, then GB just has to address it.
We live in a cruel and demanding world, and if Bowyer can see a way forward, then we all must let him at least try. If that results in a cull of players and backroom staff, then so be it. Let's just await to see what grows, before we condemn either Bowyer, or Rupp, for not one of us has any idea of any talks that have taken place, or not.
In the meantime, I'm sure that JR is doing the same in the office, prior to his departure, should he actually leave (I'm not so sure he will ).
WE want and need our Club back, and I for one am happy to see any changes to facilitate that, no matter how painful that is. We've all had a belly full of failure, so if we are are to rip it all up, let's do it right.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... I have been plunged into relegation depression again! However, what did our top 4 budget get us last season. It isn’t all about money, it is important, but I would rather have lads who actually want to play football for City. Nevertheless, plans for the club cost nothing, instigating them does, but the communication from City is abysmal, it is like a communication desert! Plus we have just been relegated, where is the apology, explanation, a desire to bounce straight back or stabilisation, right at this moment in time, I have absolutely no idea where we are going, of course I want to get back to league 1, but no idea.
If you want to establish good bonds with fans, there needs to be good communication with the fans on what our aspirations are as a club.bantamdave41, Idlebantam, The Evidence and 1 other person like this. -
There are some on here suggesting Rupp should feck off, or move on if he isn't prepared to dig deep. Then what? Who are these multi-millionaire local businessmen chomping at the but to inject millions? Is it you Fordy?
I don't think Rupp is the man for the job but at the moment I have no idea what the alternative could be.Morley Bantam, vladimir, RonnieBrown and 1 other person like this. -
After watching the league 2 playoffs the past couple of nights if we can't afford to compete with that level of dire football then there's no point in us even playing.

It will always be hard to get information on the club and its ambitions when the two men in charge are one who has no interest and one who is all but a recluse,
It seems next season will be run on two buttons and a bag of sweetsHow, Tony Wilkinson, Bantamsteve and 1 other person like this. -
However he is the custodian of the club and his decisions will determine our future
The big questions are
Does he carry on investing a very small part of his wealth into the club to keep it going (ticking over) or does he invest more to make the club a viable proposition and take it forward hoping for a larger return or does he say enoughs enough no more investment and leave us to our fate (admin)
Who would purchase the club at Mr Rupps price rather than bid with a receiver
In two out of three scenarios Mr Rupps personal wealth plays a big part in our future
Whichever way he decides (I wouldn't like to be in his shoes) it needs to be done quickly and more importantly keep the fans informedThe Evidence, JonButterfield, Onside and 1 other person like this.
