I think I went to Blackpool to see the lights during the Bowyer tenure - I’m outraged that I’ve not been offered the assistant managers role

 

This is one of the glaring problems at the club at this moment in time, messages like this are too open to interpretation. It might have a simple explanation that should not worry the fans, if it is then Parker should find out first before posting an open ended answer.

 

In the position we are in we have to be so careful we get it right. If we are running a bit of a tight ship would it not be better to get good coaches on board and train the limited players we may have to the best of our abilities?

Instead we seem to be saying we will be competitive budget wise (unknown yet as only come from a few sources) but only on players?

Unless it’s a scenario we move on x players and then we can use some of that money on coaches aswell as players? Baffling

 

Do you use the same script everytime we change something at the club. It took Edin getting booted out till you believed he was doing anything wrong. Then not long after you came out with the line everything will be fine surely you can't be that blinkered and except that not everything is going well at the moment .What ever you do don't expect to be back in league 1 this time next season because it ain't going to happen look more towards 2023 season if we are still around.

No, wrong again (you're consistant if nothing else @Fordy117) I have never actually spoken to Julian, but you're correct me and Gary are on first name terms.

 

He's got a point. One or two ITK have said more ins and outs expected on the backroom side so give them a chance to materialise. Personally I wont believe anything until Drury's either back with the kids or out of the club but it's way too early to start complaining again. Of course all isn't well we've just been relegated ffs, but the key difference now is the chief idiot and architect of our downfall is gone. Rupp plainly isnt a football man but I do believe he's of good character in that he won't just skip off into the sunset until we're at least where we were before he came here. Have a bit of patience, give it a few weeks and then start gong off on one if things dont look great

I'm not going off on one because we are in shit state I know we are in a bad way and except it the thing I can't accept is posters saying we have to wait because everything will work out OK . When previously they have been told what is and was going on at the club and turn round and actually tell the posters they are lying and don't know anything and within a season be proven wrong but have never had the balls to admit they were wrong.

 

But he wasn’t his number 2, that’s the point I’m making. He was a first team coach.

 

I honestly think we do need to wait a little bit at this point. Todd only left like yesterday and from the sounds of it it could be a personal thing. Whilst I heartily agree comms are shocking between club and fans (was way better when we had a certain pointy shoed individual about love him or hate him), Bowyers not stupid enough to not have done some planning for this eventuality.

 

Good old Park, he was sucking farts out of Edins arse while all the while the rotund german was running the shit show. Right till the very end if i recall.

In all honesty if we can't afford to have a proper coaching team we may as well pack it all in and go watch park avenue. Drury is a shit over promoted coach who needs to go back to the youth setup until he learns what he's doing. Beyond that we now have nobody. I have faith a new backroom team will come in but if that isn't sorted within the next month or so I would at that point call for Rupp out.

 

Agree Todd was assistant manager at Newport with Warren Feeney until they were sacked but not at Blackpool. Feeney is currently manager of Ards who got relegated so I doubt Todd wants to join him.
As we don't know where he lives, maybe he has left by mutual consent because he is fed up with a long commute?

 

Or GB doesn’t think he is No2 material after the job trial

 

There is so much wrong with last season, I think it goes beyond general discussion. If the training staff are a part of that, then GB just has to address it.
We live in a cruel and demanding world, and if Bowyer can see a way forward, then we all must let him at least try. If that results in a cull of players and backroom staff, then so be it. Let's just await to see what grows, before we condemn either Bowyer, or Rupp, for not one of us has any idea of any talks that have taken place, or not.
In the meantime, I'm sure that JR is doing the same in the office, prior to his departure, should he actually leave (I'm not so sure he will ).
WE want and need our Club back, and I for one am happy to see any changes to facilitate that, no matter how painful that is. We've all had a belly full of failure, so if we are are to rip it all up, let's do it right.
