Not just competition. Imagine playing in a team that is totally reliant on you to score and how much pressure that must put you under. Now imagine playing in a team where there are others who can take up some of that burden. Not surprising really that he looks to be enjoying himself again.

His workload last night was significantly better than what he normally does, so much so it was impossible not to notice.

 

What ever the cause I thought the front two put a real shift in. Hopefully Kavanagh will turn out to be a good partner for cook

 

I agree but it's also right to comment on some of his performances where he hasn't always put the effort in he did last night.

 

I know you can see no wrong in him at all and I agree he owes us nothing we couldn’t really have had a better centre forward in the time he has been here. However his isn’t and shouldn’t be above criticism the season before last he wasn’t in as great shape as last. I think this season he carried an injury for a while which affected his performance. And I agree with the poster last night he was moving better than I have seen him for a while
