Sadly , he needs to go Dave. He’s had once really decent game in my memory this season . Derby away , otherwise he just flatters to deceive. No presence in sl, honesty.

He always looks slimmer when he scores.

 

Very good points but I think we were in a slightly worse position back in 2013. I may be wrong.

 

I suppose while it is still possible we have to hope that we go on a winning run, and that a couple of teams blow up. If we don’t win the next two games we are out of it tbh.

 

Fancy Cooky to score again tonight. Hopefully the goal at the weekend kicks his form back in to gear.

 

With his goal today, Cook has 61 League goals in 117 (18) appearances, and 66 total goals in 129 (22) appearances.

That puts him 10th in our League scorers list, moving ahead of David Jackson (also has 61, but in 250 appearances),
and,
16th on our total goals scored list, behind Derek Stokes, also on 66 but ahead as fewer appearances (140 (1)).

He's got a good chance this season of moving into the top-10 in total goals, and maybe as high as 6th in League goals.

Did anyone hear Alexander allude to the 'Programme' that they've put Cook on which will be 'a benefit to his career'?
He was full of running right till he got taken off and looked to have more agility when jumping for headers.

 

They say dark colours flatter fatter people.
With Cooky, it's his scoring boots that make him look thinner.

 

He's back scoring and he's lost weight. C'mon who had that on cliche bingo?

 

I am concerned that if he keeps scoring it goes the other way, though, and we start needing to fatten him up.

 

Yet it was no coincidence that last night he was chasing everything down and pressuring their back line and we win 4-0. Last night he did contribute to the team and not necessarily run the channels but he put more than a shift in. And wait a minute... the team looked better for it... almost like having that extra player up top working hard helped.

Its no coincidence he has upped his game because he has some real competition now.
