Well I hope Scunthorpe were deadly last season, because we're relying on two thirds of their attack in Eisa and Gilliead!

Excellent work by the club for me. First we get a manager who was in work, had just got a club promoted to where we are wanting to be, on a very tight budget. We sign a goal scoring center forward, then we sign a player who has just scooped several POTY awards at his previous club.
Having said that Fordy doesn't particularly rate him so Adams and Turnbull really do need to up their game.

I just think he's a nothing signing. I don't think many would care if say Harrogate had signed him and that's his level.

Rather have Gilliead than Stevens last year. Rather have Eisa than Ismail. Rather have Cook than Donaldson. Rather have Threlkeld than FCD. Shaping up okay just need a second decent striker and perhaps Songo'o.

 

If he hadn’t had a spell which was poor with us everyone would be running round with gum drop smiles about this signing. He picked up 6 awards at Scunny last year including their player of season and was pipped to be going to a league one team.

 

Not sure if it has escaped you Fordy, but we are at same level as Harrogate

 

That's the point CG. No matter what we think of players, Adams and Turnbull will know more than we do and I am not just talking about footballing ability. Only 1 signing has left me underwhelmed and I certainly wont call him until he has had the chance to show what he can do. We can no longer out compete 1st div teams so someone tell me if other div 2 teams are signing better than us. As far as Gilly is concerned, when last here, he was a young kid who showed ability. What let him down then was his end product. He has had 5 years to work on this so let's see what he can do.
