Alex Gilliead Signs

Some of our fans like Colin Doyle because he lives local and likes the club, Donaldson who has signed two divisions below should have had a new contract according to many, maybe the same ones who said Billy Clarke should be kept on. Some thought Guthrie and Samuels would score goals.

 

On paper, it's not a signing that gets my juices flowing.

But, I get the distinct impression that the new manager doesn't suffer fools, underperformers or lazy players gladly. I expect they'll all be well drilled, their roles and responsibilities will be made specific and explicit and woe betide those that aren't doing as they're asked.

 

Us fans are a funny lot. Only in my imagination but just suppose 3 years back, someone like Sunderland had signed Lewis O'Brien. Their forum would have been going berserk. "He must be absolute rubbish, why are we signing a bottom of the league player?"

 

I'm not celebrating any of the signings to be honest but if the manager that most of us wanted feels Gillead can help us get promoted I'm prepared to give the lad a chance.

Except Adams has just said he has “watched him closely “ over the last two years so hardly a lazy Turnbull signing

Jesus there's some doom and gloom merchants on here decent signing for me. Pleased with all signings so far will hold judgement on angol till I've seen him play. Adam's as just got a team promoted with lowest budget in football league so i think he knows what he's doing. Another target man and a central midfielder and where good to go

Eisa and Gilliead are not cast offs. They rejected deals and wanted to move on.

Also, you keep crowing about keeping Lee Novak. By your logic he is a Scunny cast off.

That’s the point Novak was a cast off and he did ok Gilliead was the best player they had by a long way yet our fans moan
