    That's right. He clearly had ability but often made bad decisions in attacking positions. Hopefully that has changed with experience.

    I am a huge fan of Alex Gilliead. When he was here last he became our best ball carrier since Reidy when playing wide.He got us up the pitch on our terms
    and enabled us to play from there. A very intelligent footballer who has developed well and will hopefully have some end product this time around.

    Bound to have improved since he was last here. No marquee signing but a good age and capable on paper anyway.

    I tend to agree with you regarding his running and use of the ball.

    In the two games against us last season he had clearly matured and was sometimes more central and carried the ball well and passed well. There were some comments on the match thread at the time about how much he'd improved.

    I wonder if he'll be competition for Cooke and able to play centrally in the three behind Cook? I think he'll fit better than Vernham or Crankshaw in that role. They need to be wider but I reckon Gilliead could do it.

    Decent player and still young
    In an interview last week Adams was talking about 3 different forward set ups so he is obviously a bit more flexible than we think he was at Morecambe. A good manager, which we all hope Adams is, works with he's got. With their budget he may been hampered somewhat at Morecambe.
