Pity a few on here cannot see the bigger picture they wanna look how poorly both Jewell and Parky started there reigns and how that turned out
I mean the biggest or arguably one of them Man U had the same with Fergie had the powers that be listened to the fans in 1989 then I would put massive money that they wouldn’t have become the power that they went on to being
I know it’s not gonna be easy but I would rather have a season and half of Adams trying to get us out of this league rather than bring someone in who will be lucky to last a year

Grayson
Collins
Hopkin

when is the penny gonna drop that these short term manager just ain’t working

Here’s what I haven’t liked so far:
- removed all youth players from the first team and gave them very limited chances. Granted not good enough some but to totally alienate the majority and publicly in the press? Poor. And sparks only months earlier was saying that’s the route the club would go?
- Allowed to totally change the structure of the recruitment of the club. Fair enough if we want one man in charge but again against sparks vision for the club? Has to get January right now. Heaped a load of pressure on himself.
- slated players week in and week out in the press. Can’t be good for morale. We cannot afford to just change a full xi at this level and particularly not in a hard window in January
- sent mixed weird messages in the press saying the club had big issues behind the scenes that had been there a while? Seems to have stopped but meant attention now back on players
- injuries gone up and up. Another thing we were promised would change. Hasn’t. Got worse if anything.
- football is turgid. Happy with draws. Soon becomes a thing fans will turn against.
- 2 wins in 21 games. Just awful whichever way you look at it.
- sold a player out of a window when we have next to no options and now having to name 5 subs. Just why? Even if they went On and were rubbish why restrict your own options?
- slated Robinson and made it clear he didn’t sign him. Again not ideal he wasn’t who he wanted but you’ve gotta use everyone at this level. Can’t remember another manager doing it. Apart from Hopkin. And he didn’t last.
It all doesn’t add up. Now eirther he’s been lied to to get him to sign and then promises have been broken with budget or control over it, I just don’t know anymore. -
For the first time since Parky I trust the manager we have. The owner and CEO must do the same and do whatever we can this transfer window.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...The Original EB, Brackenrigg, Bantam Begins and 4 others like this. -
I know Sparks can split opinion but despite some quick hirings and firings, I do think he has identified that the constant revolving door of managers is a key component for why we are where we are. Although questionable at the time, the McCall new contract was a reach for some stability - something we haven't had in a very long time. And thankfully, I think Sparks has enough poise and patience to realise that sacking another manager isn't the answer this time either.
Frustratingly for Sparks, he has shown inexperience in his part for hyping the season up somewhat. In reality, this season seems to be shaping up to be more like one of Parkinson's transition seasons like 11/12 or 14/15 where we knew there is some good in the squad of players, but it needs another window or two to continue the build. Adams is the only one at the club who has an iota of knowledge in building a promotion winning team - we as fans should trust that, Rupp & Sparks should back it. -

Let me break it down a little for you.
Turnbull identified players. Derek agreed to sign them. Therefore they are equally to blame if a signing goes wrong.
Turnbull was let go because a) Derek wanted his own men and b) Turnbull's scope of identification was smaller than McCall and his ipad.
Under this 'new' setup, the only thing that has changed is who does Turnbull's role. Its now down to three rather than one and you'd assume they're better at their job than Turnbull was.
In the same way, when they come to Derek with a player and he agrees to sign them, if it goes tits up, Derek and whichever one of the three scouts who identified him, are equally to blame. -

Sparks has a bit of a problem now on his hands.
He can see how boring we are to watch.
He can sense how alienated the fans are with Adams
He must hear the deluded ramblings every post match interview.
He must know we are destined for mid table finish this season despite all his bluster about not achieving promotion would be seen as failure.
All that said, if he fires Adams, it will scream incompetence on his part in getting through 3 managers in his short tenure as CEO so far, not to mention the compensation payout due to the excessively long contract he gave him and the 'fee' paid to Morecambe for him.
Stick or twist Mr Sparks, over to you, but please let's have some dialogue with the fans now as to your thoughts.pns1945, vladimir, Bantam Begins and 4 others like this. -

only one answer to this. grow up.
we can not keep sacking people every few months.
the last few games have been poor without a doubt, but it is madness to talk of sackings.
what needs to change is Adams negative 1 man up top no subs until the game is over approach.AJP, XCIV_Bantam, YungNath and 3 others like this. -

Adams deserves time to see what happens in the January transfer window
I think some people are forgetting how shite we was last season with maybe a couple of shots on goal and pissing round passing round the back 4 , At least we are competing now

Adams is no doubt a stubborn and prickly character and it is telling that even after getting them promoted Morecambe did not fight to keep him, He seems to easily fall out with people and hope the players are able to overcome that and keep playing for him,
Having said all that he was the clubs choice and most supporters were happy with it so we need to give him some time to rebuild the club and at least one transfer period where he can bring in his own choices, Thats the time to judge him,Brackenrigg, Kopendin1964, XCIV_Bantam and 3 others like this. -
I honestly don't give a monkeys whats said, what's promised, how many hashtags we have, or how pissed off or slopey shouldered the manager sounds.

Adams is here for the long haul, he ain't getting the sack or leaving of his own accord. Whether he achieves success in this time no one can predict but its clear from results and comments from Adams regarding his squad that we are still some way off being truly competitive in what is a woeful division. And that's quite sad really and a true indictment of what damage Rahic and Rupp did to this club.

Here's my take on the present situation and despite my recent optimism, which hasn't completely disappeared despite Tuesday, I've been saying for a long time. Previous managements, especially Stuart, recruited a series of players that were essentially not up to it. They might well be ok in a team of grafters and leaders, but collectively they're hopeless. This approach to recruitment continued in the summer with more such players brought in. How much input Adams had I don't know. I'm pretty sure, however, that he now fully appreciates what he's dealing with and that he knows that he has a group of players who are going nowhere. In time he will get rid of them and bring in players he believes in, and he must be given that time. We're all unhappy with what we see on the pitch but to expect any manager to transform such a gutless bunch in one season is asking too much. I'm happy to write off this season in the hope that having managerial stability for once will take us where we want to be.

Dour Scot, Dour football, if we only sign players from his old clubs in January then the Doc is back.
Time for Rupp to come out of hiding and tell the people of Bradford how he is backing up his promises to repair the damage he helped cause.
