Adams Out (with poll)

Yes lads, my name is there and I was all for his appointment - 100%.
I now admit that I was wrong, I hold up my hands and shout it out loud - I made a mistake and got it wrong.
(Never heard Mr. Adams say that)

 

Some fair comments their nick, and many many more to come no doubt.
The question is of course, do we stick or twist?
I sincerely hope DA is successful at VP, but the more I see and hear, the more that I'm not convinced - let him prove me/us wrong!

 

I think Rupp through Ryan has displayed his vision going forward, Rupp wants the club run on a sustainable basis (Ryan generates enough money) so Rupp has little or no need to fund the club.
Take your sponsorship out and its basically down to the fans as we have seen with the resent increase in season ticket prices, most were happy as the sounds coming out of our club were this is going to be the season we got promoted in the same strip as that great 1981-1982 squad.

 

I hope @Storck hasn’t complained about Adams naming and shaming FCD and NC, he’s just hung 100+ out to dry, including me. I am traumatized.

 

Forest Green are ten points clear at the top, and 22 points clear of us having played a game less.

According to Ryan Sparks last week we have a higher budget than them.

If we're offering peanuts we are being outdone by teams offering even less.

 

Adams had the team gathered around him and was talking to them when the game was stopped and the emergency services went into the Kop to a fan.

 

Well, whatever he fookin said....didn't work!

 

Just pointing out Adams did have a word, maybe @Dazzi missed it but it did happen.

 

The improvement we all want is out of this league for a starters. How we get there matters not. Judging a proven manager, and yes he is proven to achieve promotions, on 6 months with what we all recognised as a squad needing a total revamp is absolute madness.

If we are in this position next season at this point fair enough.

Do I like what he did post match yesterday - no. Will getting rid of him now help BCFC - no in all probability.

We're all hurting seeing our decline and lack of performance but sometimes you've got to see the wood for the trees.

 

I ended up pretty much in a minority of 2 with @Park bantam on here when everyone wanted T&S out of the door & most were knocking one out over the thought of Del Boy coming in.
Now I’m not a great fan of our Derick, but he came in last summer after taking Morecambe up in the playoffs so didn’t get a full transfer window, he inherited an absolute car crash of a squad, he’s now nearing the end of the January window and the majority on here want him out!
Are we ever going to learn?
The poll who’s going to be the next manager should be retitled “who’s head will we be demanding on a pole in 12 months time”

 

Stick. Anything else is crazy IMO. He doesn't exactly get the fans on board with the project I know.

 

Im not sure where he's got that from. FGRs budget for the last few years has been one of the highest in the division and ours has fallen. If ours is higher, which i don't belive it is, then that would see FGRs budget at least 8th in the division which again I don't believe it is.

 

Did Sparks say our budget was in the top 4? Or have I made that up?

 

On the Hard Truth podcast last week they were discussing Forest Green, he said he was close to the CEO there and that he knows our budget is bigger than theirs, he then tried to attribute them outperforming us to the fact that they've had a more settled squad and management staff.

 

Id seen the quote but decided not to listen to the latest hard truth as I was sick of listening to Sparks. I'm sure Sparks knows the accounts of clubs better than me but ours has been dropping every season since Rahic left. And this season will see the departure of the last two high earners in ODonnell and Evans. I exoecr their wages won't be made available in the summers budget.

 

I wouldn’t mind betting that along with Forest green Newport and Sutton have smaller budgets than us. At the moment it is not budget that is holding us back it’s under performance of what is a lot better squad than the position we are in. And that has been the case for the last few seasons

 

Sparks said we're in a very good place financially. I think he'll put every penny he can in the budget for the Manager as long as it's 'sustainable'.

 

BIG after Grayson, Bowerorange man, Hopkin and Randall and Hopkirk (T and Sellers) I also thought he was da man. Limited budgets, teams winning but a risk radar was going off in my head about what the Plymouth fans said about him. 'Be aware he will;l be found out...' It's not going to change and we should not get relegated so we should get rid. (Sparkytwittwoo boy and Rupp too)There is something strangle amiss with my club but as a manager the performances when they keep happening every Saturday/ Tues are part of what you do to set them up.You are responsible as a manager.

 

We currently are 'sustainable' due to a drive down in player wages and a large uptake on season tickets despite a price hike. Let's see how 'sustainable' we are after this season, a lot of folk are questioning their choices for next season dependant on how this season ends.
