See the problem with us that you are extremely slow to react . Well behind! Shocked you can find where you live.

Things in football change quickly and maybe the game is too quick for you now. It’s just a hobby. A past time.

However, those that can keep up can see football is a results business and when you have a manager that isn’t capable of picking up a run of results for the club he is managing then forget his CV he has to GO!

    Simple as that!

No, he was saying don't worry lads, this ref won't remember to add the full ten minutes on so we've definitely got a point here.

Dont get me started on the rights or wrongs of stopping a game because something happens 60 yards above them in a stand.

Never happened in the 70s when fans were being treated for skulls cracked open by bricks and having darts removed from their heads.

It's no excuse for the loss, but that stupid ten minute stoppage killed any momentum we were potentially building.

When manager after manager (some after doing a decent job at their previous employers) arrive and depart without having much of a positive impact on performance and league position. I think it's fair to argue that there has to be other factors impinging on their lack of success at Bradford City.

Whether that's something to do with the past recruitment strategy or something that's far more nebulous and difficult to diagnose, I do not know. We're told that the playing staff are operating under a competitive (for this league, at least) budget. So it can't solely be down to not having enough money to sign the quality of players that would see the club challenging at the top end of the league. Whether that budget had been spent wisely, I couldn't answer without knowing just what the players are earning compared to other players in this league.

Does anyone know if the recent scouting network that's been implemented by the club is contingent on Derek Adams remaining as City's manager? Should he leave, then will a whole new set of scouts need to be employed? (Although, I suppose that also may hinge on what the next manager thinks of them and their recommendations, as well).

It's a whole new set of ideas and a churn of players with every new manager. There's zero continuity and I think that could possibly be at least part of the problem. Nobody is given enough time to fully enforce their own ideas using players that they've chosen. I've been far from enamoured with much of the football on offer this season. But I'm not convinced that just replacing Adams solves all the club's problems in one fell swoop and automatically propels the team towards success once a new boss is in the dugout. At some point, I'd argue that we need to 'bit the bullet' and persevere with someone for longer than what the past managers have historically been given.

yeah but the expectations were way lower in them days when 3k was an average crowd we weren’t top end budgets or have a CEO saying we don’t accept mediocrity and are going for promotion. I’m referring to this very recent toxic atmosphere that seems to exist and what DA talks about, but doesn’t say what.

And I am sure he meant it he went out and took the manager from a team who had just won promotion unfortunately that manager has so far vastly underachieved

I’m all for that if there is some kind of path to bringing in success as things stand I just can’t see it :( the tactics the players he’s brought in don’t cry of building for the future .......... I mean Robinson and Lavery would you really trust someone who bought these two????
I mean the tactics alone ain’t working :( we are sitting back at home against a team that have less than 1% of the crowd in attendance yesterday :( is that right that we are trying to see a game out against a team with a lower budget and an away following of 130 ????? Seriously we shouldn’t fear anyone but he does sadly away teams suss us out :( they know that our negative displays when leading 1-0 will see us drop deep and result in us lot getting peed off and turning on the poor sods on the pitch who are having to lay to a system that isn’t working :(

The current situation feels very weird Imo.

the closest comparison would be Simon Grayson I think. Respect for what they did before they arrived, the best man for the job on paper, but just not clicking and delivering and there would be absolutely no tears shed if he went. We sort of feel a bit cheated by what we’ve got out of the box.

adams’ longer contract complicates matters this time though, at least with Grayson he ended the partnership.

I am not happy with Adams signings on the whole in particular a lack goals from the front players but all this criticising his football is a bit strange to me. Had we been taking our chances we would be at least top end of the playoffs.
I also haven't got a problem with Adams nailing the players for not doing their jobs. Not defending balls into the box, defending too deep and not pressing higher up the pitch. He can't go on the pitch and do it for them.
I'm not saying Adams will turn it round but a lot of the players need to take a good look at themselves. His football is nowhere near as boring as the stuff Bowyer served up.

Last accounts published, the 19/20 season, FGRs wage bill was much more that City’s. I know someone who is friends with Dale Vince and his son and they’re not shy on spending, they see FGR doing well as promoting part of their broader business group.

Adams joined City before the summer transfer window opened. He doesn’t get off the hook that easily.

Another great bit of business advice from our resident Dragon.

I can't imagine what it's like right at the top in the fast paced car wash industry. Like what you are.

    Bucket
    Sponge
    Shammy
    Spray
    Wash
    Rinse
    Dry

Crikey I am leaving that well alone. Too complicated.

When you trading the Merc for a roller? Or was that your Roller parked behind the main stand yesterday?

Is it too much to hope Sunderland fancy Derek Adams as the replacement for Lee Johnson???

One thing for sure, if Adams is going to continue as our manager he needs to massively up his game.
Problem is who at the club is going to tell him that?!

More like 2nd half yesterday and the fans will but can Sparks and Rupp truly do so when their own standing in the club is luke warm at best

Especially when Sparks confirmed in a radio interview just after Adams' appointment was announced that he, Adams would have the final say on recruitment.

I agree with a lot of what you say. But you can't correlate how they should be approaching games with the amount of away supporters in attendance or what their budget might be.

I don't think many people were under the impression that we'd be watching free flowing, attacking football when Adams was odds on to get the job. Even the 3 games I saw Morecambe play last season made it obvious that he set teams up to be hard to beat and play counter attacking football.

I do wonder if Sparks only considered Adams past record. Or if he did take into account that the football on offer would be far from entertaining, before offering him the job?

If it looked like City were building a decent young side, playing an attractive system, but we're losing from a mixture of naivety and inexperience. Then I think the support maybe far more forgiving. But, when it looks like they're attempting to sit back on a 1-0 scoreline, despite a decent first half attacking performance. Against a team that offered very little going forward. To then lose 1-2, a manager needs to have built up a decent amount of goodwill from the fans to avoid criticism. Obviously, that's something that Adams hasn't done.

I do wonder if the jeers aimed at Adams heard on the final whistle on Saturday were just a reaction to a last minute defeat. Or whether this is the beginning of the end for him? Because we all know all too well that very few managers survive once the support has turned on them. We know that Adams has a history of turning on the fans. Should that happen, then I think his days are well and truly numbered at Bradford City.
