So Rupp appointed someone with too little football knowledge / experience and who I assume rubber stamped the appointment of Adams. I agree the club needs someone at a higher level who knows football.

 

Like Edin…… ha ha he knew football.

My concern is that there are pub teams in our division with budgets a fractions of ours but have a manger that gets something out of the players, we have a manger that makes the players at his disposal worse with his awful tactics.

 

Whilst I agree with you we need more football knowledge off the field, why is Sparks to blame for this appointment? Who would a director of football with a footballing background for instance have chosen? Adams on paper was arguably the best choice a failing league 2 club could hope to get. Everytime at this level he’s gained promotions with former clubs, both near the bottom of the league when he was appointed. I don’t see how a director of football would have gone any other way. Plenty can be put at Sparks’ door like false promises for instance, but not appointing a manager that most on here we’re happy with and most in the footballing world would likely have hired had they been here.

Don’t disagree that on paper Adams looked a good choice the bit I can’t answer is what would a director of football done differently as I’m not one and I don’t know also have no knowledge of how Adams interviewed etc but it must have been the last decent interview he did as every one he has done as manager has been absolute none sense. The guy talks rubbish and is so boring he could put a glass eye to sleep!!!!

 

Yet we keep saying the same things about every manager we’ve had last 4 years, maybe the leadership has to shoulder the blame then…

 

Main thing for a manager is to have the fans onside and Adams doesn’t have a large portion of the fan base onside. Look at Newcastle Bruce & Benitez both worked under Ashley had virtually identical records but the fans loved Benitez and hated Bruce!!!! Makes no sense as the end result was the same but that’s football.

IF our manager had us in the automatic spots playing good football and we could see the potential to become a top half L1 side again

Exactly same results, just shows there’s more to success in modern football than just the manager…

Difference at Newcastle they were fighting tooth and nail to get Ashley out, not a dicky bird on our great leader maybe by manager 15 that’ll change. Shame it could be to late by then as the club will find out the problem with a ‘sustainable’ business model in football when less and less come back. 3 in our group already aren’t, imagine there’s plenty more a change of manager won’t change my mind now I’m afraid it happens to often.

Please fans start bringing banners. It’s the only way he’ll start to realise.

 

As much as I agree with what was posted, The general consensus by the fans was for Sparks to get rid of T&S when we all realised last season that they had no Plan B. As seen in the other post, The majority wanted Adams as manager from the summer onwards. To an extent, Sparks has buckled under fan pressure when things go wrong so we can’t really fault him for that. As for the other shenanigans, The recruitment structure overseen by Turnbull an etc, I suppose the less said the better

 

All comes down to the owners vision.

Where do they want the club to be in 5 years time, how are they going to get there. What funding is needed, what youth development, scouting, style of play, etc etc.

A strategy perhaps.

We haven't had one and flip flop from one thing to another incoherently. Wasting time and resource and money in the process.

 

I’m not one that is apparent on this board!, But I’m constantly on day in day out….As this is my club,.

Home games ,there 99% , Away unfortunately with work and 2hrs away from the Valley can’t do the Tuesdays and away!!.

What really got me today was our manager blaming a young guy and not putting his hands up and saying” 2nd half I got it wrong “.

And also the team are getting a break for drinks……..And nothing from him …. No rallying ……No going to everyone ( Your the boss, Everyone counts!),C’mon blah blah blah…….Literally Nothing!!!

 

2nd half. Sat back. Invited pressure. Lost midfield. Got what we deserved. All on Adams. Adams bagging the players is desperation. He is lost.

 

For all those who disliked parky. He had a plan. Might not be pretty but knew what he was doing. Adams does not. Throwing players under the bus for your own inadequacy is appalling. Adams out. Sparks you brought him in. I will give you the benefit of the doubt unlike most. Get shut. Own up to your error. Choose someone who is not an imposter. This season is done.
