The logical thing to do is to tie it to the actual State Pension age which has now risen to 66. Many will work to that age or older, if they need/choose to do so. I understand that there are plans to raise the State Pension age again, initially to 67 and subsequently to 68!

I think the issue is the club don’t know what the government restrictions will be come the start of the season so they are selling them blind, just like we will be buying blind

I think the reason it dropped to 60 was because of complaints that it was 65 when women could retire at 60. Issue was just after that the retirement age for women then moved upwards. It was probably decided to just leave it there rather than constantly messing every 6 months as the state retirement age gradually creeps up

Indeed. It doesn't stop at 66 either, younger people have to wait until 67 or 68. They just need to decide on an age and stick to it.

Yep. But the State Pension age has now reached 66. So for next season the club could alter it to that classification. Subsequently the club then change it when it reaches a rounded year (I think it fully goes up to 67 in about 2028). It seems crazy to have an age which is now obsolete.

If you try and book a holiday in this country or hire a caravan or motor home, you'll find yourself paying a lot more than in 2019. Holiday companies or individual landlords aren't holding prices because of the last 12-18 months. As for the investment by Rupp, he's backed successive managers who've totally mismanaged his money, I wouldn't blame him for tightening the purse strings and making Sparks raise his own funds.

Yep just read this morning that the holiday companies say expect holidays to be dearer this year they've had a hard 12/14 months they are making the customer pay more because of the limitations with regards hotels, flights ETC.
If Stefan is not prepared to increase the player budget then it has to be funded by extra sponsorship or a rise in season ticket prices as I've said I think the coming season would be a bad time to increase the price, but as I also said is I am lucky enough to be in a position to pay any increase, some may not be.
Ryan said the club hope to have better finance with regards sponsorship, which he will know all about.

I suppose there’s never a good time to increase prices but the definition of insanity and all that.....Where I agree with @Fordy117@Fordy117 is we need to change the mentality. Completely rip up what we’ve been doing for the last 10 years and start acting like a club that wants to move forward. At the moment and certainly under Rhodes, it’s been about limping from one season to another, high turnover of managers and players, poor off the field services etc, etc. All very amateurish. Hopefully with Sparks we can start to act and perform like the professional club we’re supposed to be.

Blxxdy hell that’s a false statement didn’t we have five years of progressive improvements including promotion a major cup final a great FA cup run and two tilts in the play offs to get I to the championship I don’t think even on here there will be anyone who wouldn’t accept that for the next five years

    Has he?

He certainly didn't back McCall (or McCall certainly didn't spend it ) and I doubt Vernam, Crankshaw, Watt, Canavan etc are costing a fortune in wages.

Let's also not forget the huge sell on fee we are receiving for McBurnie and the fact that it was his negligence that has led us here.

Suppose it is a cost/benefit decision and the club have decided to stick to that age, maybe they are following a trend across other clubs?

Perhaps we should do what those brands have done and go "online only". Boohoo or Asos could buy us. It would save a lot on stadium maintenance and we could play home matches on grounds like Manningham Mills, whilst upgrading the Ifollow package to a premium level with multi angle cameras and real commentators. The future of football !!

Read yesterdays T&A. That gives the biggest hint possible that prices are going to go up, stating the majority of the 6,000 responders have agreed to a price rise. If that happens then I have no complaints at all as the the club have at least sought opinions on it and had a very healthy response.

So playing devils advocate, if ifollow was to continue with the same terms when fans return, you could actually see away teams limiting away match tickets to 500 and instead pushing fans to ifollow.
That can’t be right and is the reason why the home club should get 100% of the revenue from ifollow passes.
