I doubt that it is true Fordy. Sparks was happy that the salary cap had been lifted so a big reduction in playing budget wouldn't make sense. s
He said in today's T&A that he felt the cheap season ticket scheme had run it's course. He also said that although he wanted to keep the football affordable he also wanted to challenge for silverware. So it's probably "fake news".
For me If go with adult season tickets £200 (I'd be prepared to pay £225) and match day admission £15.

Good point. Not sure. Just trying to be creative. Perhaps if you get a membership of some form of Bradford City Supporters club , which is restricted to Season Ticket holders. POTD City fans would have to pay the same rates as the visitors.

But we fans are doing as were asked and paying what the club deem the going rate no one is expecting charity.

That's a bit harsh if you can't afford a ticket screw you, trouble with that sort of logic is there may have been a family of 4 lets say, watching football at Valley Parade for many years for the very reason football at Bradford City was affordable, yet a 25% increase would make it unaffordable for the family of 4, so you won't simply be losing the one fan but potentially two young fans who are the clubs future, they know the likes of you and I will pay what ever the going rate is unfortunately that maybe doesn't apply to all fans who attend Valley Parade.

I believe the bigger attendances , have helped with commercial deals , according to the club. So maybe that has been an influencing factor on ticket price. I also think it is a good image for the club to have. Keeping it affordable for everyone.
I am not against this or having a go at you Bronco . I just think its time to move on, dip our toe in the water and see where we are at.
By the way . What age are you classed as a pensioner when it comes to season tickets , Did it used to be 60. I am sure the guy behind me in the kop has an oap ticket and he is not 65.

I think the big problem is even if we keep the prices the same the number of tickets sold will probably be lower than this season. Therefore you might as well put up the price to keep total revenue similar.

They could increase adult prices to a realistic price but still do a family deal.

If the consensus is correct, he bought the club to make money and failed. To be honest he would be more of a fool to lose further money, then absolutely necessary, on this club.

I'm not sure being a 25 yearer I only have to pay for a suite upgrade so I cant help you there, I know your not having a go at me personally and even though were coming from different points with regards the cost of a ticket we both/all want whats best for our club.

The bit that is crucial for me is that with 12/14/16,000 fans in attendance at Valley parade can make the stadium rock (obviously when the team are doing well) and even at my age that is a buzz I look forward to, nothing better that a stadium well full of Bradford City fans giving our team their vocal support.

Depends on which way he looks at the situation. If he is prepared to cut his losses and accept a knockdown offer from any potential buyer he will do very little. However if he wants to get a good price he will need us to be a club on the up so he will know that he will need to back the management to a certain extent.

Yes I'm sure his partner convinced him this football lark was a p!ss ball, and I bet during that first season he believed every word Rahic spouted, and was delighted to be at Wembley rubbing shoulder with some of footballs elite, then John Dewhirst got in touch and his world came tumbling down.

Generally speaking you raise the price when your product is in high demand. As the number of season tickets is falling year on year, that would suggest demand is falling. And after the last couple of months, and looking at recent ifollow numbers, it seems to be falling further. Do we want 5000 in the ground, each having paid £250?

You're right that would be something I'm sure Ryan could be looking into, we need the kids to still attend, once you catch the bug you're usually hooked for life or that's what I've found, although there is far more for kids to do now a days than back when my old man took me and our lad.

Exactly, that's why £200 is a good starting point. A £50 increase is helpful to the club without being over the top. I think you make a good point, although your 5,000 figure may be a little pessimistic. I think the biggest threat to future crowd predictions is probably Covid confidence, even allowing for a good vaccine uptake.

Tin hat on. Errr..........what is it people on here do not get? I do understand and share the emotional and psychological need to try and deal with the pain of the last few years, and the moral motivations to help the club out and believe our individual sacrifice will make the difference. But we have, in the main, been served dross, and if the the product (City) really was operating in a free market, would have gone under a couple of years ago, alongside other well-known under achieving businesses relying on a brand name only. And let's face the facts, a few thousand (and dwindling) stalwart fans paying even a few hundred quid more than last year on STs is going to make naff all difference to anything. Simple economics and accounting.

In some ways we have been unfortunate and we are right to rue a lot of club decisions and be hypercritical of those who made them, but in other ways it could be a lot worse. We need an owner (s) to cough up over and above, and that money to be effectively spent and managed through a forward thinking infrastructure, otherwise we are where we are, and will continue to bounce around L2 (and not below hopefully), relying on only good luck and fortune in the years to come.
