As talk has started (on other threads) about season tickets, I've started this thread to discuss what we are expecting/wanting from City and, until we get the official announcement, what we expect the offering to be.

To get things going, I've started to look at what other clubs are announcing, to see if there are any clues, from other clubs, as to what restrictions are expected and whether or not iFollow is being mentioned as an option.

First up is Oxford United who have said they are drawing up plans based on a 50% capacity and no away fans.

Many clubs have eye watering prices, with no (or very little) real information on what happens if fans will not be allowed in, nor any information on iFollow. Adult seat prices at Wycombe will range from £380 to £494, whilst Luton Town will be charging £450, with discounts of up to £50 for those who have held season tickets for at least 2 years.

On the other hand Oldham Athletic's prices range from £160 to £230.

Peterborouh United have promised a pro-rata refund if fans are prevented from attending any matches and their seat prices range from £439 to £539, with a special platinum ticket (which includes away matches, cup matches, home & away shirts, home programmes and several other incentives) priced at a bargain £1,699 to £2,099.

Absolutely ridiculous!!!!! The season starts in August which is 2 months after the governments roadmap for easing of all restrictions.
Clubs should be selling season tickets based on full capacity.
I’m sick of it all now!!

In an interview last week, Ryan Sparks said the latest information suggested that Valley Parade would probably have a capacity of 2,000 for the first two games (hence why we are arranging two home friendlies), with, probably a gradual increase thereafter.

It is really difficult to get any sense out of the government on what to expect after the lifting of certain restrictions on 21 June, but Covid passports still look likely, as does some form of social distancing in certain venues (it could well be an either/or for certain establishments). Also, being discussed is the retention of 'compulsory' masks on public transport.

I think the above restrictions will have disappeared by the end of the 2021/22 season, but I do think it is almost certain the season will start with some restrictions in place.

The EFL do not seem to be in a rush to agree the IFollow arrangements for next season, which just adds to the complications as City try to come up with a realistic offering for fans.

Shove ifollow where the sun don’t shine and fully open the stadiums for home and away.

I think you're right. I can see restrictions being in place for the start of the season and then they will bring them back in again for the winter I reckon. Just can't see them opening everything up again straight away.

Fully open stadium for a start.

Stop selling cheap arse season tickets.
£200-£250 is where they should be priced.

    I might buy one.

If they continue to sell cheap tickets, would you still buy one?

Makes it hard for the clubs with no decisions from government, or even plans with get out clauses. That then makes it hard for League to plan with ifollow.

I would expect some last minute announcement and then people moaning not enough time to pay even though they know they have to pay at some point

It’s Deja vu. Told us last year we’d be able to attend from October, then things changed. Unless fans can attend in full from day 1 then they won’t be ripping me off again. I’ll keep my £450 (3 x ST) in my pocket

As Loyal says, if the new season starts 2 months after all restrictions end, why should attendances be limited?

Not that VP is likely to manage to reach even half capacity the way things are, sadly.

I think it's wishful thinking, that every thing will be back to " normal" after the 21st of June, can imagine restrictions remaining for some time after that date.

I fear you are correct and with those Fecking passports things, live sports will have more dark days

So wait, there is an advert playing on TV on a bloody loop that says "stay outside, the wind blows Covid particles away", but the season is going to start with limited capacity?

    FORGET THAT.

If that's honestly how it is, I won't be buying a season ticket.

Not sure I'll be renewing either. Football under these two has me questioning the decision already but if there's an announcement its limited capacity and I won't receive what I've paid for (after also paying for this year's ST and only receiving ifollow) then it's probably a case of giving next year a miss and maybe paying in for the odd game if we're doing well and the kids want to go.

If T&S are still the managers it is unlikely I will renew, Have seen enough to know they are not good enough and will not waste my money on this mediocrity

I'd imagine that's unlikely as it is during the social media boycott.

Given that seems to be our main marketing tool it wouldn't bode well for our new commercial team!
