    Not just competition. Imagine playing in a team that is totally reliant on you to score and how much pressure that must put you under. Now imagine playing in a team where there are others who can take up some of that burden. Not surprising really that he looks to be enjoying himself again.

    You think your perception of Cook having been lazy is the reason we've looked poor?

    You're happy to pin the under performance of the whole team on not only our leading scorer, someone with more goals that both McGoldrick and Mullin but also the man that's top of our assist charts too?

    I mean, your obviously entitled to an opinion but it's very bizarre considering some of the performances of those behind him.

    What ever the cause I thought the front two put a real shift in. Hopefully Kavanagh will turn out to be a good partner for cook

    It was noticeable because he wasn't completely isolated and trying to perform an impossible task by chasing down a back 4 alone.

    There's harassing, pressing and chasing lost causes and there's stupidly just wasting energy. I think some people struggle to tell the difference.

    I agree but it's also right to comment on some of his performances where he hasn't always put the effort in he did last night.

    I know you can see no wrong in him at all and I agree he owes us nothing we couldn’t really have had a better centre forward in the time he has been here. However his isn’t and shouldn’t be above criticism the season before last he wasn’t in as great shape as last. I think this season he carried an injury for a while which affected his performance. And I agree with the poster last night he was moving better than I have seen him for a while
