    It's a no lose bet. 250k for a potential homegrown player (which is key in Premiership squads) is nothing. Nice to see him go to Brighton as he stands a chance of progression and i really rate Potter

    Given this lads age, i'd say it's like likely if he makes it to the Brighton first team (no guarantees he'll actually be any good in the mens game), Potter wont be there by the time he does. Surely after the strides they've made, he might be given a bigger job at some stage in the next 2 years?

    True. The big clubs should be looking at him but they go for foreign managers or big names. Howe at Newcastle shows this folly. I actually see Potter as the next Southgate

    They are amusing , but surprisingly vicious when they want to be. I’ll have to get some more when the flu has largely gone from the wild birds.

    I like to think so as I really rate him. Who would take him on though which is a step up? I can see Gerrard going to Liverpool and him going to someone like Villa but that's outside your timescales. Premiership clubs seem reluctant to take a chance on English managers

    The point is he’s been signed by the “ club” not Potter. Potter would have no input into the deal. They have heads of Academy etc , to do that job.
