Paul Anderson was worse. He was on £6k a week and came with a big rep. An absolute disaster.

McLean the too obvious one from recent memories/nightmares.

 

6 k is chicken feed , carboni was on 40 k a week and he got millions in a signing on fee and that was 20 years a go .

 

Simon Grayson (as manager) was a HUGE let down.

I was convinced he was the best man for the job when we got him, turned out he thought he was better than us.

 

And went on to prove he was at Blackpool .

 

I’m surprised no one has thrown Andy Myers into the hat for worst £ for £ player ever......
For those of you too young to remember he spent nine years at Chelsea. We signed him for £800k he spent 3 seasons at Valley parade, most of which he was injured. He made most of his BCFC appearances in the premiership relegation season and the only time I remember him breaking into a sweat was a full on brawl with McCall against L**ds when Stuart pulled him up for his lack of effort. If memory serves me right he left for free in first admin so unlike Hopkin & Rankin who cost a bit more we got zero back for him when he left......,
