The issue is buy cheap, buy twice!

We offered Anderson and Devine new contracts but both not good enough. Both need shipping out.
Longridge came in and shipped out

So we're using windows to get players in and then need them out in 6 months.

This window now Doyle is back should be to get rid of a few player and maybe add a RB & another midfielder if Reeves & Palmer don't up their game.

With longridge going out on loan now, do people think reece staunton will be seen as back up for wood at left back and maybe get on bench as club rate him highly. I would like to see a left sided wide player come in January though we have Ismael and Connelly who both like playing on right and maybe Pritchard who could play left side but we just look light down the left side for me. Theres a heavy reliance on connor wood at the moment

Agree with this, would also do with another left winger. Plenty of fat to trim this month

Yup, if we can't go up with that squad then Bowyer needs sacking as soon as the final whistle has gone at the last game.

The first rule about TCA is that we don't talk about TCA.

Watched him play for BPA against Farsley last month and he looked nowhere near ready for that level never mind League 2.

Maybe not the caliber of players he's looking for available, when we have a full squad to select from we won't be far off.

What does his squad actually mean?

Worries me when managers come out with rubbish like this.

When Klopp joined Liverpool he didn't say I will have my squad in 3 transfer windows? He said I will WIN something in 3-4 years and he did, the biggest prize in football.

When Jose joined Chelsea said he will win things, I am the special one.

Wouldn't it be refreshing if we had a manager that said within x I will take Bradford City to the Championship?

When managers take about transfer windows and squad I am never convinced that they can improve players or look to improve players, I see it at a manager making excuses before they start & delaying for time.

It's a lot easier to make those sorts of statements when you have multi million pound budgets at your disposal.

We'll have £150 million when we sell Doyle to Swindon.

See I disagree with that and certainly as football is today since most of the PL have plenty of money which makes it harder to win things. Do you feel Leicester need to sell any of their players? Or even Villa? No!

I just think it's confidence in terms of ability and before taking a job they've made sure the board will give them everything required (that's just not based on money) or the club will be run like they want.

Comments like give me 3 windows etc make a manager seem desperate and lucky to be in a job.

No point offering Danny Devine a new contract for example when you should be able to have confidence in coaching & improve a youngster.

Offering Devine a new contract was pointless.

My point is surely they would of been a youth player that a manager could look to improve and develop instead of offering Devine a contract.

In fact offering Anderson and Devine a contract was pointless when we clearly had an eye on Chris Taylor.

    Anyway, it's done now.

It's has been said many times the contracts offered to the likes of Anderson & Devine were to be squad players and make the numbers up.
Taylor was a free agent during the closed season so why did Bowyer not sign him then, I believe we had him pre-training with us.

Just extended Taylor's deal. Pritchard, Connolly, Ismael and even Gibson and Devitt can offer options out wide. We are stacked.

Think he will wait until summer.

TBF Devine was 21 when he offered him a deal. Maybe thought he could develop him rather than throw some 17/18 year old in. You make out like Devine is 25 when reality is he is just a kid himself!!! Throw in Gibson and Colville too, he had a group of young players that he saw as projects and cover.

We also released Gunner and Hawkes who were youth team CMs. Don't think there was anybody else on the cusp of the first team.
