Agree with all of that. Still not really sure why we signed Taylor in the first place.

 

Something else up front for certain. Donaldson already been out for a lengthy spell. Vaughan will no doubt get injured at some point and that leaves Oteh....
Not sure it will be Doyle but if it isn’t make Swindon pay a lot to keep him which we can then use to strengthen.

left winger would be nice too as mentioned. Basically need options so one or two injuries doesn’t mean a change back to this 5 at the back painful tactic

 

Heard a rumour that Akpan is going to Tranmere. Can only pray that it's true! What team from a higher division will have seen in him, God knows!

 

Bowyer's mate

 

In fairness, he's been no worse than Palmer, Akpan, Anderson, Devine. If he's cheaper than most I'd be open to keeping him if others left.

 

True, and perhaps that has been Bowyer's plan all along? Get a cheaper replacement backup in on a short term deal to see how they do and if they are as good as the options we already have, move the more expensive ones on in January and offer the cheaper one an extended deal to the end of the season?

 

Dont forget Patrick, he can go too!

Thought we missed him a bit going forward this last month.
I know, i thought i was going mental thinking it but he had just picked up his performances when Bowyer changed his tactics

I definitely wouldn't send Oteh back, on second thoughts.

We are paper thin up front as it is, plus Oteh can deputise out wide.

He isn't good enough to be relied on as a first teamer week in, week out, but he's actually better than some squad players we have.

They can go first:

Akpan, Anderson, Devine (if Salford want him, otherwise he can stay), Longridge, and I would keep Taylor if those others go. If we can't shift them, Taylor is the obvious casualty on his short term deal.

A forward must come in, it's unrealistic to want two better than Oteh, but one is possible.

No more defensive midfielders, of bring in a winger and someone, somewhere, who can shoot from range.

 

Would send back Palmer also.

McCartan can go also.

 

Palmer is an ok replacement for Reeves who you'd expect will need a break every know and then.

 

You might get two quality players max out of a January window. Only scraps available, and only when clubs are comfortable letting them go, ie, late.

Which one or two positions would you most like to cover while sending all those players out?
