It is about ambition, For example one club scours world football for the best manager available they can afford, The other club lazily never looks anywhere else other than the chief execs personal phone book. It is not hard to see why one has reached the Premier league and the other has sunk to the depths of one above non league football

Can't we just arrange for them to be relegated?

Bielsa comes across as a very approachable sort of chap, so I wonder if Stuart can arrange a few 'sit ins' with him.

Don't think all City fans will hate Leeds. A premier league city deserves a premier league club. I can remember Bradford and Leeds being similar cities but now the fantastic city that is Leeds is a reward for them bring in a visionary leadership.

Our pi#s poor council have let the city down for decades. Remember the super dome and the number of years wasted on that pie in the sky project?

Whilst we sat on our hands, Leeds council got on with things.

There are those who talk the talk and those who walk the walk. Unfortunately we have a council that does the former...

This is a description of the Elland Road stadium, visiting fans section, ‘The seating in the John Charles Stand is a mixture of old wooden and plastic seats. The leg room is sparse, plus there are a number of supporting pillars running along the front of the upper tier which could impede your view’. Doesn’t sound like a state of the art stadium! Looks fairly tired and grubby when I drive past it. So the council in Leeds, similar to Bradford, has not been involved in generating a ‘Premier League’ stadium for their City. Drive past both the Manchester stadiums and those certainly are impressive.

Jesus Christ! Here they go again. Everything Bradford is sh*t. Everything L**ds is the best. How long were L**ds outside the Prem? How many dodgy owners? How many failed managers? Read the recent guff on here and you'd think Elland Road has hosted the world's best football team in the world's best city for the last 30 years. Do you all do the same when your next door neighbours get new lawnmowers?

Phil Parkinsonj was not in employment when we brought him to the club, not sure why someone poached is going to be a better prospect than the likes of Parky who was out of work ?.

I was merely comparing the 2 cities. If you feel Bradford as a city compares with Leeds, then fine. For the record, my lawn mowers and my lawns compare to anyones.

Out of how many mangers? Hopkin, Bowyer, Grayson. None were up to snuff. Aston villa poached smith from Brentford. Promoted. They saw a style they wanted and went for it. We just always mill about the dole office looking for out of work managers. I won't deny there are some gems there. At the moment Nigel adkins and Nigel clough would be good appointments.

Really thinking about it now we dont stick to one system. A new manger comes in with a new style. Poor results as they arent given time to implement their system and the cycle begins again.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing :
Hopkin had an excellent record at Livingston, two promotions into the Scottish Premier League.
Grayson had promotions at Blackpool, Leeds, Huddersfield and Preston.
Bowyer also got Blackpool promoted under that clown Oyston so he also had past history of being successful.
Why would Adkins or Clough be better both have had success and failure.

No, but Bielsa is a very good manager apparently and Leeds Utd are doing well, so all is well in the world mate

No one on here gives a shit about Leeds. There is a big difference between saying you don't hate them and you love them.

Are you from Bradford? Did you grow up in or around the city during the 60's/70's/80's?

You could count the number of City fans at my schools during the 70's and 80's on one hand. Whilst everybody and their brother seemed to support that team from the other side of Pudsey. And they weren't shy of reminding me on a daily basis just how superior their team was.

Then there's hooliganism in the 70's and 80's causing me no end of problems back then. Football was considerably more tribal and violent than it is these days. Not just at the games themselves either. I've still got the physical scars due to violent incidents with some of their fans.

So no, there's very little chance of me ever giving Leeds United even the slightest bit of support, encouragement or congratulation. In fact if they suddenly imploded tomorrow, there'd definitely be a party at my house, guaranteed. Hate is a strong word, but I have a very, very strong dislike of that club and its supporters and it'll remain with me and I suspect a lot of other City fans for similar reasons until I leave this life.

It frustrates me that not that many seasons ago. There looked to be a real chance of our team reaching parity, at least in terms of standard of football, with them. As it stands today, that gap looks almost as wide as it did at the peak of their reign in the 70's. Like the city itself, this football club has been mismanaged for far too long and we've seen footballing behemoths like Fleetwood and Burton progress whilst BCFC continually flounders.
