It still doesn't sound like any signings are imminent, with McCall quoted this morning as saying he's hoping to strengthen in the coming weeks. That's not ideal but if it means we get some quality in rather than just extra bodies for the sake of it I'm ok with that. Only problem is, I'm not convinced that's what will happen.

 

Any striker with a decent cv will think long and hard before joining us as proved with the journey/last pay day men currently occupying those positions

Which of us are not accepting that? I think everyone is aware of the maximum squad size allowed and that as things stand, that we still have room for a few more.

 

I agree just read Bolton want to bring more players in because they have plenty of the salary cap but need to offload because of size of Squad.
I think we will bring in a striker and a right back and see how it goes and then maybe one more before the window closes

No..I never said we won't sign 3 players. I said if we do they have to be of high quality because or squad is poor.

 

Guthrie is Vaughans replacement
He was signed days after Vaughan left, the club knew then he wasn't coming back.
Don't know who Mr Clarke was brought in to replace but it isn't Vaughan
