Could you imagine making similar comments to your boss that Vaughan made to McCall, shocking attitude but you dont have 16 club during your career if your dedicated to the club paying your wages.

In Richmonds and Heginbothams days they were very vocal with regards Bradford City club but apart from Mark Lawn there have been very few.

Bronco, just a 5 minute troll around the internet you can see issue's that have cropped up along his , as you say 16 club career.
When we signed him a mate from Town told me he'd be trouble.
Yet if we did any due diligence on him , we then felt obliged to give him a 3 year contract.
He fell out with Bowyer and rightly the club either back or sack a manager.
We in typical BCFC sytle actually did both

    Utter nonsense that.

The players have been back in training for about 2 weeks if that.

We have been in talks with Tranmere for about 4 months. As soon as McCall said he was staying blah blah what else could the club come out with?

    Let's not be fooled here.

Vaughan wouldn't have scored goals either as he wouldn't be playing. If there's minimal effort and no commitment then he won't be put on the pitch to try score goals, because he's not going to try.

I've no doubt Vaughan would have been happy sitting on his arse getting paid to not play but from the club's point of view we'd be losing out.

    We don't know this.

Plenty of players have so called wanted out and produced week in, week out until they leave.

There are people like that in the real world too. A colleague of mine had been at the company for 19 years. The colleague put in minimal effort and didn't progress. The work done was just satisfactory and that was it. Never wanted to learn anything new or try anything difficult. There were no grounds for dismissal so they had to keep the colleague employed. Only now have they got rid, making this person redundant and blaming COVID.

Do you know nothing about Vaughan? Not seen his club history? His previous attitude problems? Come on use your noggin.

There were a few questioning the signing of Vaughan and making him Captain I commented it might be a good move by Bowyer to give him that extra responsibility but from the first game you could see it was all about James Vaughan, but as he was scoring that's all us fans wanted.
But without doubt he came with baggage, those quotes from Stuart are the first I've read, his replies say it all, he was not prepared to give McCall or the club a fresh start, a self opinionated tw@t comes to mind, we may miss his goals but after reading this comments we won't miss the man.

    3 year's Broncs A 3 year contract
We a 4th division club gave him 3 years and as you say after 1 game you saw the light.
Where is our scouting / due dilligence. None that's what.
Why are we giving 3 year contract out to 30 something players in the arse end of the league.

Who gave the green light for this ?
    Bowyer went to someone
Sparks Nah, Ruup Nah only leaves one other.

We don't know if the club have paid him up, just cancelled his contract or paid him something till his new contract starts with Tranmere. I personally am not really bothered. He doesn't want to be here so at the risk of been called a "happy clapper" (not to my face I should imagine) I think the club has handled it perfectly. Let's move on to something else.

Ok, we've established he may have been a bad egg, bad for team morale, bad for the younger players. Or maybe not.
What we do know however, is that this is typical City - not giving out full information, feeding us positive bs, then coming out with negative reasons, without any indication of good news going forward, and leaving fans split, arguing among themselves and generally feeling disillusioned once more with just a month to go til the new season. If ever there was a pre season where the board, management and coaching staff should be transparent, it's this one. It's become a running joke now that we approach each new season in a haphazard, disorganised manner, but more fool me that I keep thinking "next season" will be different. I don't even know why I bother getting worked up.

    Give him a break...

Hes given reason as motorway travel as reason to leave us.

Feel so so sorry for him with that massive travel journey from Merseyside :joy::laughing::joy::laughing::joy:

Yes - how many days in a week was he required to travel, he was here only 6 months if that. Did he not consider travel when signing or did the £s and ridiculous 3 year contract - blind him.

Following Vaughan departure from City there is now a posting on Sunderland's forum about him. Some are asking if he was their worst ever striker. He certainly left them with a sour taste.

Without doubt as fans we only look at performances which I'm quite happy doing, I dont need to know what individual players are earning, that is their and the clubs business.
As with yourself I've invested many years and tears ;) watching our club and even though we read this or that about a footballer the comments from James Vaughan are appalling, maybe in hindsight after the first round of talks we should have dealt with the situation instead of hoping Vaughan might come around.
An arm around Vaughans shoulder obviously didnt work, I'm with you no point in dwelling on it he's gone to better things he thinks, and I dont blame him for looking after himself but do disagree with the way he's done it.

It's a poor and lame excuse. Even with the 4 hour commute (there and back), he will still be spending more time with his young family than most people working full time get to do. If he sets off at 8am for a 10am start at training, he'll be done by 2pm at the latest and home by 4pm - so even with the travel, it's a shorter working day than most have.
