Not game by game but three times in one game the man is useless at managing a football team

OK, so let's say Macca goes.

We need a plan. A workable plan, cost effective with structure and a team to support.
We need the plan communicated to the fans. Patience on all sides, an acknowledgement that bumps in the road will occur.
To bring in a new man, will not necessarily be a magic wand or fairy dust scenario. We could still be inconsistent in terms of results for example. He would still have to work within the salary/player cap, under the existing CEO (with potential disruption under a new CEO) and 'owner'. He would still have to work with this set of players, the limitations of the backroom team. The new man would still have KG, CD, LN, AS, BC as its attacking options.

So IMO, we can rid Macca but then what? What are the expectations of the new man?

    Feels a very difficult position.

The club is rudderless from the top under a man whom is complicit to the failures of this football club.

Under this current marriage of an owner and CEO whom both have questions over their desires to be connected to the running of this football club, how can I honestly expect a thought through plan to be implemented, resourced and allowed time to occur?
Who does the hiring of a new man? Do our incumbents give you hope in this process?

The club has issues all over. From the owner, to the CEO, the backroom staff to the playing staff. So how does the new man work within this framework?

Macca is an issue. But he is part of a wider issue within the club.

Correct after a nights sleep on yesterday's result. We need a change at the top and we need it extremely fast. If atleast a new CEO came in, they would change the manager straight away.

Definately not. Generally disliked in the game from what I hear from other clubs. Example, Lincoln we're glad to see them go despite success. Think they've had their 15 minutes of fame. Anyway we currently have a Manager in post so why this speculation?

Would they? I'm sure the new CEO has already talked to Rupp. Seen his vision, his framework for the club in which to work.
Removing McCall may not be the pressing issue for the new CEO. Ensuring financially we are sound, a promotion challenge, providing Covid measures will be priorities just off the top of my head.
What if Rupp wants us to be financially sound with promotion as an objective? We can still be promoted as it stands today.

It's like I've stepped into a nightmare and gone back 10 years.

For the record I want Charlie as the next manager. He brings a lot of the same qualities discussed above.

I’d say as long as the club isn’t sucked in to a fight to stay in the league and more importantly doesn’t look like it can’t win that fight, McCall will see out his contract.

Can't disagree. The reality of Covid, economic uncertainty at lower league football level adds weight to your considered post.

I agree to an extent that this is what will likely happen. However, the new CEO will be aware that the club risks losing a lot of fans if we have a mediocre or poor season behind closed doors. A lot of fans will get used to not going, and will need to see something this season to keep them interested enough to renew season tickets next summer.

I think the impact of a new CEO may be overstated. If say it’s Sparks with Rupp still owning the club, and McCall has done what was asked of him, Julian said we shouldn’t be expecting promotion, then you can see him being offered a new deal, whether he takes it or not who knows.

The only way I see a total change of direction is if the new person is part of new ownership and the delay in Julian’s replacement is a S&P agreement being drafted and signed.

I think Hill is a poor shout to be honest. He had a few good years in his first spell at Rochdale, but has done nothing since. He is one of those managers, like Coleman at Accy, who were a perfect fit for a certain club.

    A big no from me

Darragh MacAnthony spoke well of them in his podcast. Don't care how much their disliked if they brought success to our club.

So you are honestly saying this early in the season a record of 2 wins 3 draws and 2 losses the manager should be under pressure. I didn’t want Stuart back in the first place it was a bad move but he is here and needs to stay here for the season unless results are disastrous over a period.

I just want a manager who has a game plan, recruits accordingly and who knows his best eleven with the players knowing their own and each other’s roles in the team.
But we need a board who have an aligned plan also.
Failing at all levels right now.

Collins was sacked after less games I seem to recall?
