The truth is they shelled out for the club which earns them the right to run it the way this wish. Supporters are going to have to show some patience

 

Dunno where the assumption has come from I’m going in all guns blazing for Edin tonight. I aren’t. Interested to see what he has to say, and might catch a word at the end if possible but not too concerned either way. As said, it’s not a fans forum. It’s the player of the year awards evening with a meal.

People have their opinions and are entitled to them. Looking at what has happened this season I would love to see some encouraging news and some light at the end of the tunnel All I can see is a massive struggle coming anyone who sees different either knows more than me or have just blind faith who is to say is correct only time will tell

 

We have to be patient and take notice of their initiall statement of intent not sound bytes made after final defeats and other similar occasions

 

Thats not how it works in the real world of football is it? Fans want success, fans want entertainment. Fans opinion may differ on what entertainment is but I'll tell you this, if it ain't entertaining fans will vote with their feet like they did last night. If Rupp and Rahic come and ask for patience like you ask i'm guessing the replies might be unprintable. The get out of jail free excuse of steady progress has gone. They need to lay down a marker in the summer, make a statement of intent and back it up. Get the manager situation sorted out, i don't care who it is, Grayson, Rosler, old man Withers, i'm not bothered because we can at least start to plan for next season.

 

Didn't their initiall statement include if we are in a position of getting promoted in January we will back the manager. Did he mean his bank manager?

If the ongoing downward trend continues and fans continue to leave in droves 6000 down on last year then shelling out on our club could become very much a poison chalice. Youngsters of today have so many other ways to spend a Saturday afternoon (unlike in my early years) than watching a non trying unsuccessful team will be very low on any list of priorities. Fans will show patience but do need to see some light at the end of the tunnel. Have seen better non league academy games than some of our performances this season. The slide needs to be halted sooner rather than later

 

They don’t have to do anything. Of course the companies or football clubs who don’t listen to their customers will suffer the consequences. But if they have a vision they want to follow its entirely up to them

 

That particular statement is largely responsible for the massive drop in season tickets
Why issue such statements if you are not going to fulfill them Would have been better saying nothing in my opinion

You're right they don't have to do anything. Just as at the end of the season i don't have to renew my season ticket like a couple of thousand have. I'm gonna be honest i'm desperate for a crack at the championship i've had enough of this division. But mainly because i want my lad to experience Valley Parade rocking every week. If the owners show their ambition i'll back them all day long, they alone have the chance to put us back on track. Lets hope they don't feck it up.

 

In their first interviews when taken over they said this was long term. Without using their exact words they said they wanted to develop young players and bring in younger players with a sell on value. Some of the off the cuff comments since haven’t helped but their initial comments still stand
