This is appalling. Nobody knows what they are supposed to be doing and they are second to everything. If we were playing anyone half decent we would have been torn to shreds by now. Collins is so far out of his depth it's frightening how he could get the job in the first place.

Again, Rahic has to take the blame for today and our current situation. He stated that the appointment of the head coach was the most important decision he had to make and then handed the job to someone totally unqualified.

I really feel sorry for Collins having listened to the post match interview. I know his decisions are baffling but you can't blame a novice for making beginners mistakes.

Rahic should be in front of the microphone reassuring us that his master plan is still on track.

If Edin was any kind of owner he would be sacking Collins now and admitting his mistake.

The whole bluddy team were awful. Why single out Chicksen (as to make him scapegoat because you know you’ll get some support on here)? Riley was no better and don’t get me started on the central midfield pairing who couldn’t pass to a City shirt 5yds away

 

We were down from Edinburgh for our first look at this new City team and agree with your assessment. I would only add that Wright is the worst captain I've seen in my 60 years of following City.

Ahahahaha I’m very worried because Fleetwood were on fire at Scunthorpe away and we are away at Fleetwood, going to be a very difficult match this one.

The sooner they are out the better though, because they are turning a lot of fans off, especially the newer generations

 

I think a better team than Burton would have passed their way through our midfield with the team we had out in 442 on Tuesday. Additionally, not only do I think we need a bit more height or physical presence up front to get the best out of playing 2 wide men but also I don't think it's the best use of Payne to have him stuck out on the wing.

As for playing 4 at the back instead of 3, we haven't ended up with 6 CB's on the books in McGowan, O'Connor, NKP, Kilgallon, Isherwood and Mellor (who admittedly can play at RB) by accident. We've recruited with the intention of playing 3 at the back becase we don't need that many CB's if we're going to regularly play with a flat back 4 so I think that we can expect our longterm "default" line-up to be with 3 at the back with 4 being the exception. The only way I see this philosophy being ditched is if we ship Kilgallon out on loan before the end of the month.

Apart from seeing a tweet which suggests that they lined up with a front 3 last night I know nothing about Wycombe. On paper it would seem that they're the weakest team we've come up against in the league so far so I'd probably go with the same team but switch to a diamond in midfield to allow Payne to play more centrally.

What do I think Collins will do? It's tricky to guess but I'll go for starting with 343 with Riley coming in for Miller and if it doesn't work then we'll switch to a back 4 at half time.

 

If he's not good enough, he's not good enough. Being tall is not an attribute otherwise Kevin Francis would have been knocking in hat tricks for fun on a world stage.

If we need height them address that with someone who is good enough. If we haven't got that then address that with the style of play with players who are good enough.

If we haven't got that then sack Abbott and the rest of the transfer committee (and Rahic, if only) who have clearly got it massively wrong.

 

Other than just the points we need to see an improvement in performance.

We did well against Shrewsbury, having 60% and creating 5 or 6 real goal scoring chances. But since then have gone backwards, even against Burton we created nowhere near enough and let them have too many chances.

Similar to last season in a way it can't be sustained, an improved performance as well as 3 points would give everyone a huge lift imo.

 

If we play as disjointed as we have in our first two home games, than the Wycombe's of the world whom visit VP will have nothing of real worry, when they roll up.

 

He may not be the answer long term but at the moment he is all weve got if we need a more physical frontman
