As you say even though Stefan is not a football fan he must realise his investment is not looking great at the moment, but what is more saddening is that the hope that they brought to our club with them looks to be rapidly fading.
Stefan has been a part of what has happened at our club from day one he has more or less given Edin free rein on a day to day basis, but he knew what their model was all about, Edin made it quite plain on a number of occasions if you're not with us leave, he is a control freak who wants yes men around him and no one to question what he does or says.
As you say Steve many said they were far from happy with the appointment of Collins, Drury and Abott, but as they own the club we had to wait and see how the season panned out, the pre-season was a disaster, once again many saying you can't take pre-season games as a guide it's about fitness, so we are now 5 games in won 2 lost three, it seems our coach has no idea of his best starting 11 or what formation to play those starters, today was dire to say the least.
Collins post match interview was very similar to his Southend post match interview, " I will not try and defend that performance" sorry guys but this lad is way out of his depth, being in the Sunwin I watched the body language of both Ainsworth and Collins and it was embarrassing to see little enthusiasm from the home dug out yet Ainsworth was up and waving his arms about in encouragement.
If it hadn't been for the last 25/30 minutes when Colville, Miller and Gibson gave us something to shout about I think there could have been a very toxic end to the game.

 

Im speaking purely about the result, we certainly did not turn a corner performance wise. We went 4-4-2 and scraped the win. Why the changes today then?

All 3 need to go. Cannot trust Abbott with 'recruitment and the other 2 are just way out of their depth

 

No mate, we supported the club, like we did before RacknRuin bought the club and will do once they’ve gone.

Just back myself, even though we were only 1-0 down at half time, it was the worst performance I've seen in a long, long time. In my head I was sceptical at this appointment but would give it a chance, but now after watching the majority of games this season I can't wait for Collins to leave. Totally out of his depth.

Before the game has even begun, you can tell there's no possible way of us winning it. 60 minutes in against a newly promoted side at home, 1-0 down, we only had 1 shot on target. It's just not this game we've not created anything, it's been all of them apart from the opening game. We actually peaked against Shrewsbury, even then we weren't that good.

Josh Wright being captain is the most frustrating thing. It's frustrating because he's captain he's less likely to get dropped. The partnership of him and Akpan in the middle is showing to be our worst in years. Joe Riley, came highly rated from Man Utd u23's, absolutely appauling today. Let's not get started on Chicksen.

Only positives, if any, Luca Colville and Gibson coming on as subs. Both were decent.

 

Colville and Gibson showed some energy and desire at least. But that just gives Rahic more excuse to flood the side with young and hungry players.

We need some proven quality, some leadership.

 

Oh to see Law and Dieng in a city shirt again. We can only dream eh?!!
Would be better than watching this shower of a midfield.

 

That was just about as bad as it gets Seedorf and Akpan were an embarrassment and Riley should be absolutely no where near the starting 11. Why the hell Collins changed the team round today is baffling to say the least and I'm very concerned about him so I'm going to rant!

The tactics today were shambolic no one seems to know what they are doing. Why he would push a striker like Doyle out into wide areas or ask him to drop deeper into midfield and then stick a winger like Seedorf in as a striker is pure lunacy and to top it off to then pump balls almost aimlessly is crackers. Miller is a million times better than Seedorf in any position. Most of the players today should be seriously embarrassed by their performances and richly deserve every bit of criticism they are getting. If I was Collins I would drop Wright, Akpan, Riley and Seedorf from the squad next week shocking. Akpan in particular seemed to be doing his best not to be involved in the match at all.

How we can go from Tuesday's effort to that is concerning.

Certainly said a lot when you could argue that Doyle was our best midfielder in the first half.

 

This Colville and Gibson could do no worse.

Gibson's overall play was poor.

 

Good summing up and I agree. If we had played a Peterborough or Sunderland today we would have been 4 or 5 down at half time

 

And Blackpool, many said give them 10 games or more before they are judged, I'll say if you class yourself as a football fan and know the basics of the game what we have seen so far is enough never mind 10 games +.

 

Fair enough, that's up to you. But for me I'd rather spend some quality time with the family than get all worked up with the comedy club. Atleast I can hold my head up high and say I've not backed Edin this season.

 

doyle was coming short to drag the centre-half with him and create a space for seedorf to run in behind - problem was seedorf wasn't up to it and looked lost. that's the problem with payne out on the left, there's nobody to pick the short ball up in the centre of the pitch, but for that to happen we have to drop to one upfront or 3 at the back.

 

I’ve no idea why he changed things. Is Seedorf guaranteed a start if he’s fit? Is Rahic insisting on playing Riley? No idea why either started.

We weren’t great on Tuesday, but the problem was our lack of midfield in that game and yet both Wright and Akpan kept their places. The latter got hooked for Colville, but it could just as easily have been Wright. Both have been woeful so far.

But I bet Park still thinks Wright was a class signing ...!

 

The whole bluddy team were awful. Why single out Chicksen (as to make him scapegoat because you know you’ll get some support on here)? Riley was no better and don’t get me started on the central midfield pairing who couldn’t pass to a City shirt 5yds away

 

We were down from Edinburgh for our first look at this new City team and agree with your assessment. I would only add that Wright is the worst captain I've seen in my 60 years of following City.
