I can never, ever not support BCAFC.
I could see Valley Parade, from my bedroom window in Undercliffe, from the age of 13 years old in 1966.
It's a shame the owners, management and indeed the players, no longer have any pride in the Club.
Nothing has changed for me, my pride in BCAFC is built on memories.
The team of today plays for financial remuneration, I couldn't even spell that at 13, well I probably could but it meant nothing to me, the same as our player's names mean nothing to me now.

I’m not happy with our situation, place has been ran into the ground since it was sold.

I will never stop supporting City but I feel like a father whose daughter has been brainwashed into joining some weird cult. You'll always love her and she'll always be precious to you but you hate what she's become and the people responsible for it.

I don’t think my expectations are unreasonable. I don’t have a desire for us to be a premier league club. I went everywhere when we were and knew we’d likely get beat. These days it’d be even worse. Watching a team try to gather a enough 1-0 wins and draws to stay up just to have to do it all again next season doesn’t interest me. However, we should be top end of league 1 and ambitious enough to compete in the championship. I’d like us to be playing and beating Huddersfield and Leeds when their bubble inevitably bursts.
But all fans are the same. My M.D is a staunch Sunderland supporter as are a few of the lads who work for me and they are going apeshit, yet they’re 7th in league 1 and very likely to be taken over by a consortium with a lot of money. They believe they are a premier league club so drawing games in league 1 and losing to Mansfield in the cup is beyond comprehension. The Geordies I live and work amongst are even worse. They truly believe they should be a top 6 club and “deserve” to be playing Champions league football. When you point out that they’ve not actually won anything since the late 60’s they don’t accept it. All Mike Ashley’s fault. Yet they won nothing under Hall and Shepherd either (who they eventually turned on).
But at least Sunderland and Newcastle fans don’t just accept mediocrity, they demand more. At City I sometimes think the “we’re lucky to have a club” bollocks gets spouted out too much and there is too much of a feeling that we should just accept a lack of ambition.bantamdave41 and Aaron Baker like this. -

No, not after 50 years I have great memories of away days, Blackpool, Wolves, Darlington 1969, and the League Cup final at Wembley but it's the young ones now and the next generation that need to support the club for years to come. I'm not sure that will happen.

No. But seriously it's detrimental to my mental health sometimes and I mean that in the most truthful of ways. I know it shouldn't be and it's only football but at the moment City is one of the few things I look forward to and it's getting harder and harder to feel positive.

Still followed and took an active interest, that will always be there. I have no desire to go watch City at the moment, in fact switching on the laptop to load up iFollow is a chore I could happily avoid.
I actually didn't think I could get angry about football any more, until yesterday's announcements!Fordy117 likes this. -
