I think Jason is trying too hard to pin the blame on one man and therefore missing or ignoring the contribution made by several others to our current predicament.

The part about Law, Vincelot and Dieng followed by a statement that "Abbot's judgement was once again proved correct" was so laughable I had to read it about 4 times to make sure I wasn't misunderstanding.

Where do we go from here though? God knows. Hopkin hardly fills me with confidence and I like very few of the players. Focusing purely on Rahic and absolving anybody else from scrutiny won't help us though.

 

I'm not talking about the year before, or league positions, or wages, or squad value. I'm talking about a managers ability to pick up players who aren't performing, and turn them into a winning team. There is no difference in the job Ole does and what David does. Same remit for both regardless of league division.

Frankly Josh Wright is as bad as Matthew Bates I haven't seen one even mediocre performance from him in a city shirt and Riley has looked out of his depth every time I've seen him. If they are high earners at the club we desperately need to move them on. I sort of see why Riley was signed so that one could be put down to a failed experiment there may be a way for him to get going again but Josh Wright is an experienced pro who was captain. If either of them want to get into the team it's on their shoulders to go out and prove their capable.

Lets not forget also Mcelhone has worked at the top of the game with some very talented youngsters I'm sure if he saw talent to develop in either player Hopkin would be listening to him.
