Nice to hear modern day footballers have loyalties to the club that gave him his big chance, but as we know football is all about challenging yourself against the best and that is defenders in the Premier League.
IMO he would be silly to turn a chance to play Premiership football down to show Swansea loyalty, grab the chance whilst you can Ollie.

Yep, so that means Charlton win. Sunderland have been playing below par all season, so I wouldn’t be at all surprised if they blew it.

Bang goes the Wyke money, Lost the play offs in last minute.

Mind you any decent manager would have run away with the league with that team,

Said weeks ago Sunderland would not go up auto or through the play off's, when I've seen them either live or on TV they have flattered to deceive, we should have taken points from them both games, the final was never a classic but if you're going to score a winner the 93rd minutes as good as any, just Aston Villa now

Why should Rupp keep making statements to the press when he employs someone who is presumably better qualified and more experienced in these matters?

Did you complain when Mark Lawn took his money back? He's pumped money in and set a competitive budget and that's enough for me, in another era an overspend would have meant a reduction in the playing budget.

It's be done to death whos fault it is and I'm bored of talking about it. The man has set a competitive budget for league 2, that's enough for me.

Exactly. I put a tenner on my son playing for England at some stage. I've tried explaining to his mother that I'm skint, but she keeps banging on about the one million quid I've got coming to me when George makes his Wembley debut.
I've told her umpteen times, that I've already spent those winnings, and that's why I'm broke!

Well it's now down to Bowyer and Rhodes to cobble together a team worthy of challenging for honours. I know a few on here would stand another season of stabilisation, but I would prefer to have the best possible shot at first time success.

    I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. Fact is, regardless of fault, the club spent double the initial budget set last season. That is unsustainable, especially after getting relegated. Rupp was left with 3 choices;

    1. Reduce the budget back down to break even. This means Bowyer would have little to no movement in the market and would have to move players on before he signed anyone new.

    2. Reduce the budget back down to break even but make an additional amount available to enable Bowyer to have some movement in the market, irrespective of whether he can move players on or not.

    3. Retain the budget from last season and continue to fund the massive overspend, knowing he is unlikely to get that money back. As I said, this is just not sustainable and isn’t the policy they said they would follow when they bought the club.

Rupp has supposedly paid off the circa £2m overspend from last season and signed-off a further £1m overspend for this season. His losses from last season’s mistakes cost him around £3m so far. Do I begrudge him using any monies received from McBurnie being sold. No and I’m surprised anyone else does. It’s no different than what Lawn/Rhodes and Parkinson did when they were at the club

There will be a certain poster along anytime now to tell you we aren't due anything from any McBurnie sale and I wouldn't bank on the Sunderland money just yet.

The parachute payment isn't a windfall. It's to offset some of the revenue drop that comes with dropping into L2.

McBurnie is the important one. That will be crucial in financing our summer rebuild.

Now the season is over we can now get excited. Lets get some wacky transfer rumours going. Lee Gregory leaving Millwall, Bowyers first signing. Gonna be partnering James Hanson up front. Unreliable source, namely my own wandering mind.

Can anyone ever think of any windfall we've ever had that we've successfully reinvested?
