They have got to get in the team and perform, as yet we have not seen that.

I think my take on it goes like this. The importance of ‘being City’, seeing my family and friends (who I may not se otherwise), is more relevant than who the Owner is.

Like a lot on here, I no longer live in Bradford. I have a relatively short round trip of about 60 miles on a match day. If I stopped going, I would lose so much, which may well be difficult to rejuvenate.

It would be a final disconnect with Bradford.

So despite the Owners I will still come to VP. I have decided to take Rahic’s apology at face value, but I now want to see action to back up those words.

If there is clear evidence that he has reneged on his promise (and that of Rupp in May 2018), then I may loudly voice my concerns in the future.

Coming up to a quarter of a century of regularly turning up at VP, I do not want to lose that.

Sounds a bit like dismissive acceptance of a situation I see as unacceptable. I don't think we should be seen as inferior to the likes of Accrington, Wycombe and Wimbledon. We were building year on year. then someone comes along and demolishes the lot. Yesterdays tragic announcement was a reminder of what we had built and all of it has been swept away. Togetherness throughout the whole of the workplace is a big step towards the final product goal and we had that. Our owners response has been to treat PEOPLE as insignificant and use character assassination to show the reasons to get rid whilst putting gagging orders in place. Is that going to create a good atmosphere? Personally, I feel that Edin's attitude to his fellow man is a problem for anyone trying to run a business and whether or not we have had good or bad chairmen in the past is irrelevant. Our situation is now quite perilous and we need them to step up to the mark or go.

    Well that’s one view
Here’s the record of the rest
    Harris
    FA Cup 5th round
Took City into 4th division for first time
2 successful re-elections (having finished in the bottom 4)

    Heginbotham (1st spell)
Saved club from being wound up
    First promotion for 40 years
    Relegated after 3 years

    Martin
    FA Cup 6th round
    Promotion
    Relegated after 1 year
    Promoted again
    Club bankrupted

    Heginbotham/ Tordoff
    Rescued club from bankruptcy
Bottom of division 3 in November
    10 wins on the trot
    Champions of division 3
One of only two times in history of club that one promotion had followed another
First seasons in division 2 for 50 years
    Reached play offs

    Tordoff
    Relegated back to division 3

    Simpson
    Not a lot

    Richmond
Promoted via play offs to Championship
Promoted to Premiership (2 promotions without a relegation in between under same chairman for first time)
    Relegation
    Administration

    Gibbs
    Saved club by buying ground

    Rhodes
    Administration
    Relegated to league 1

    Rhodes/Lawn
    Relegated to league2
    Introduced cheap tickets
Lowest league finish for 50 years (18th in L1 twice)
    Final of League Cup
Promoted to L1 after finishing 7th via play offs
    FA Cup 6th round
L1 play offs beaten in semi final

    Rahic
Highest league finish since relegation from championship
L1 play offs beaten in final
Mid table finish in L1 last season
    Plus whatever happens next

Whilst almost everyone on here predicts that the “whatever happens next” is going to be abject failure I personally will reserve judgement
If he takes us back to where Rhodes/Lawn took us in the early part of their stint without the double Wembley bounce back then I will agree but until then he has done pretty well so far compared to any of the above and may (just may) replicate the Heginbotham / Tordoff bounce back of 1983/4

Thanks for your research, it confirms to me that Rahic is the worst chairman in my living memory.

We will all have to do that for he insists he is going nowhere and yes it is my opinion that he didn't need to destroy all that had been built and simply get rid of everybody. As far as management is concerned, it looks as though he may have accepted that his views were wrong(we live in hope). I didn't bother reading your reports on previous chairmen as they have no relevance to what is happening now. I don't understand your preoccupation in their records, we cannot turn the clock back, only influence what happens now and we somehow have to get back to moving forwards.

I will tell you why it’s relevant. Because it highlights some of the over the top and at times demented criticism of the present owners

That's your opinion but doesn't justify getting rid of virtually everyone that had built up the recent success of the club. As far as demented is concerned, why not look at some of your defences of a man who himself is now admitting "some" of his mistakes.

My decision was made because a former player from McCalls first stint in charge. Told me honestly that Rahic
    treated Mccall horrendously.

I think its great A) a young team B) i understand it will take time C) They apologised last year, first it was rupp who apologised.

If you feel that the history of the club has no relevance and that you expect constant upwards movement and success I would suggest you turn your attention to Manchester rather than Bradford
Having said that there are many in Manchester who feel that United are a disaster because they haven’t won 25 Premiership titles on the trot

I am remarkably surprised that you are willing to accept that our club goes backwards. Surely progress needs to be guarded and developed. If we accept that due to previous lack of progress we now have to accept lack of progress because that is how it always been, what on Earth is the point of that?

Don't think he's willing to accept it as nobody would but is highlighting the facts that this is what has historically happened despite who the chairmen is.
