I bet he and a few more of us oldies (you know who you are) could sink a few whilst telling of our times following City.

I’ve been supporting City since 1961 and in that time the following have been Chairman/ Jt Chairman
    Albert Harris
    Stafford Hegginbotham (twice)
    Bob Martin
    Jack Tordoff
    David Simpson
    Geoffrey Richmond
    Gordon Gibb
    Julian Rhodes
    Mark Lawn
    Edin Rahic

I’m not sure that Rahic is the worst of these

My earliest football memories, since we lived in Canterbury Avenue, was at Park Avenue, my family being friends with the legendary Chick Farr. After my father died my Mum remarried to a City fan so we switched allegiance to City, even though I was still a committed Avenue fan, Kevin Hector my hero. We moved to Manningham & new Dad took me to Valley Parade. The Jackson family, father & sons, being memorable. My hero at that time was Abe Rosanthal, then McCole, Lane & Stokes etc. I dated Ab's daughter Vicky, & maybe the oldies remember his Roscona Ice Cream. Later, I was on the Kop to see City lose at home to Ipswich & lose out on promotion, I remember that so vividly. Then, sat in my car in Ilkley to hear that fantastic result at Wolves, unbelievable. It has been a real rollercoaster ride, so many moments to savour which outweigh the failures, but now I am unable to see where our club is going, all is not good & that is sad.

Time and technology both move on BWWB. When most of those guys were in charge a fan would talk to a few other fans but now, hundreds can join in discussion. Go back 18 months and following years of disappointment, we were on 4/5 years of forward progress. Our family club, fans and players were a tight knit group and proud to be so. Now, as eloquently illustrated in the woap article, our heart has been ripped out and our sense of identity crushed. It is not only players and a manager who would fight all day long for us kicked out but long serving staff as well. The way they have gone and the hints of their wrong doings has had a demoralising effect on a lot of us and we are concerned at what tomorrow will bring. I know some will say it is always the same few on here that knock our leaders but the majority I talk to, in the pub, the street and half time at the game say the same. I have no qualms in saying, I want Edin to go and the sooner the better.

Unfortunately loz 5 or 6 years of progress has been the limit for the last 60 years and more
We did get 8 years in the 80s when it looked like the cycle maybe broken but even the Richmond miracle only lasted 6 years
Rhodes had 10 years of regression until we started the latest progress
The belief that we are a special club is a myth unless you accept their are 91 other special clubs
Even the horrendous events of May 1985 didn’t mean much in the early 1990s when it wasn’t unusual for attendances to drop below 5000
Only Richmond and then the cut price policy of Rhodes and Lawn have persuaded crowds above 10000 to turn up regularly
I have always dreamed of City having at least a successful championship club with the occasional promotion but hardly ever dropping back to L1 but when I look at the teams in the top 2 divisions now I quickly realise that they haven’t changed much since the 60s and that Bradford City have mainly been in the 3rd or 4th tier

Are you saying that we should be grateful that Edin is keeping us to the norm. When R and R came in, they boasted about the progress we would make. Really hope you are not saying that we should rejoice at the pillaging of OUR club.

It is not a matter of saying we should be grateful or otherwise at what Rahic is doing - it is too early to say
It took Richmond 3 years to get us out of this division and the season before we got promotion in 1985 we were bottom of the league in November (1983)
Of the list of Chairmen the only one not to see us relegated was Simpson (plus of course Rahic) and yet his spell in charge was less than spectacular
Yes I would like to see continuous progress but to suggest that we should expect it as a right is fanciful at least

If you ask me who was City's best ever chairman I would say Richmond (94-99)
If you ask me who was City's worst ever chairman I would say Richmond (99-02). That is until recently.

Can we stop this weird notion that somehow our home kit is modelled on the German flag. I'm no fan of Edin Rahic but people really believe this sort of rubbish?

So...everytime you don't like something you give up?...Unbelieveable! That's not supporting your club. Boycotting "supporting the team" helps NO ONE.

Like someone else has said, Rahic is just a footnote. He apologised, does that make everything hunky dory?...course it doesn't but different owners shouldn't stop anyone getting behind their team. They're doing it their way....i don't have the money to change it. We can't just stick the bottom lip out and fold our arms.
Sorry Jay....Now, more than ever, is the time for unity and fight.....not sitting at home on a keyboard! This young side has a chance but it needs US behind it.
