To return to the thread topic, could the complete silence from Rupp and Rhodes indicate that there is indeed something going on behind the scenes?

Spoilsport @Dubois@Dubois , that was becoming a really interesting diversion. But I like your observation on background happenings. Time will tell.

What gradient can trains go? It would be about 1in 40.

    I don't.

You don't get involved in football clubs because they are solid financial investments. You do it because you are very rich, want a challenge, and don't mind writing off a few quid which will be ultimately offset by your sensible investments.

Some businessmen live for the buzz that sports team ownership brings.

Look at the buffoons in racing that spend hundreds of thousands on point to pointers what, in most cases, don't make it to the Gold Cup. They do it for the thrill and that possibility, but, realistically, they'll make absolutely no money from it.

It’s awful. No atmosphere and the view from the top tier is terrible. For music if you sit there is a shear drop to the standing area.

dunno about the investment but we need to know what the future holds if (when) we go down... what is our ST money buying? is there threat of admin? could we go bust? is Rupp staying or is he looking to sell? if the latter would he be prepared to continue to cover losses for another season (or more) if he can't sell?

trying to sell tickets while this is all up in the air can't be easy. I want to know what I'm buying into.

I started a thread regards commitment Ricc and it echoed what you have said above. Currently the fans are the only ones investing into beyond this season, scary.

I think we are waiting to see what league we are in next year and then we can get moving

I know most fans think we are down but owners and manager will be hanging on until it’s mathematically sorted

Not sure, I'm no expert. The gradient out of the interchange is around 1 in 50 and that's considered steep! It looks pretty level to me but it obviously isn't. That might be from a standing start though. There are probably some that are greater than 1 in 40 (or is it less?). Probably depends on the train itself. I think some are better at climbing hills than others.
As for the idea of the stilts. I seem to recall that was one of the plans of linking the two stations some 100 years ago before they abandoned the idea. It's obviously technically possible to do but as usual it's the dosh. Bit like our football club, not enough of it going around.

No need @Silverbantam@Silverbantam, you will soon have a first class stadium in Bradford, that has heritage and class and will knock spots off FD Arena;)

I can't agree with you about Liverpool being a city in difficulty at all. I know it well having lived there for 10 years in the 1970s and early1980s when it really was a city with problems. I am an occasional visitor today and tell you the city centre is pretty much transformed from those days especially with the vibrant museums and art galleries on the waterfront. People go there for a long weekend. I don't accept your analysis of Bradford and its prospects, but you are even further off the mark with Liverpool.
