    The only Life at The Top I have read is by John Brain, of this parish and is an excellent read, one of my faves. Follow up to Room At The Top.

    There was a good film too starring Laurence Harvey. Some good shots of Bradford, one in particular of Harvey jumping on a bus going up Darley Street, with the old Kirkgate Market to the left.

    As others have said, tradition has it that we are Bradford City and they are Bradford. When Aston Villa played Bradford City on 12 January 1935 in the 3rd round of the FA Cup, Villa printed all four division tables on page 283 of the programme. At the time Bradford City and Bradford were side by side in the second division.

    Incidentally Bradford City won this match 3-1 at Villa Park, the only time we have ever beaten them in the FA Cup. It would be another 78 years before we got our first and only win against them in the League Cup 3-1 again, this time at Valley Parade.

    Memory failed me a bit there. It was actually a mini series rather than a film. Worth a watch it has Jenna Coleman and Maxine Peake in it. Was filmed mainly in Halifax though rather than Bratfud. Decent remake, but the original is an all time classic.
