Not sure it would have been a good idea though to have included Rupp out in the plane banner. I’m hearing that his cheque book has saved us from administration this last few weeks.

 

If I remember rightly the protests, carping, flyovers etc, were all aimed at a change of ownership, that, as far as I can seem hasn't happened

Basically the equivalent of the Managing Director has been sacked, which given how ruthlessly Rupp has done this makes you wonder why Rahic was seen as bullet proof on these board's

This is and always was a cold hearted business decision as (and once again I repeat myself) Rupp can not afford to see his investment go down the drain. The urban myth that he would ruin the club in a couldn't care less manner have been proven wrong. He does care. He realised he had the wrong man overseeing

Delighted that my fellow fans, WOAP, etc think they had anything but a tiny part in the decision, as at least there is some joy on here for a change

 

They were aimed at removing Edin Rahic from any involvement in the club, that has been the consistent message in all of this, that has happened.

I agree, from what I have heard, Mr Rupp does care and knows he has been shafted. His message today conveys that. The voice of supporters has been listened to.

 

How can the man who owns the club actually save it from administration? Surely he's just protecting his own investment? Hardly 'saving' us.

 

It might have been from you. However, the flyover, that let's remember was only abandoned because of the weather, was aimed at both.

I'm not disagreeing that some wanted Mr Rupp to leave, others didn't and some weren't sure. However, any support for Edin Rahic had long since disappeared and wanting his departure was the consistent message, but not the only one.

 

You're wasting your time I'm afraid @Hulmebantam, Edin's right hand man in @City-since-67 openly stated if the fly bye went ahead it could damage any potential new investors/new funds coming into our club.
And even though the guy got stick for not making everyone aware of the details I'd suggest the postponement has sent a message to the appropriate people.
So we did play a part in the exit of Edin Rahic.

 

The 1st time was the weather the 2nd time was down to @JonButterfield getting a phone call pleading for him to call it off nothing more nothing less.
I think rupp has read and listened to the fans and we have probably saved him a few quid in the long run so hopefully he will plough it back into the club.

 

I believe the cheque book and admin quote came from an accountant who has met with Rupp.

 

Conveniently forgetting the arranged fly bye against Oxford United which was only stopped because we were given to believe it could have a detrimental effect on future investment/funds.

 

Where is the new investment. And investors in secret talks. I think some people have been hoodwinked

Do you understand that it’s John Dewhirst on twitter, a trained accountant who founded City gent who is saying this on twitter. He’s actually flown to Germany and spoken to Stefan. He has assured him that he will prop up the club. Apparently our finances are horrific and we needed bailing out.

 

I feel for him, he must be gutted tonight. How’s he going to wind people on here up now, with his muse gone?
