Just had a look at this afternoon's Width of a Post article.

Spotted this, 'Because in the Spring we became aware that Rupp read WOAP, the Telegraph & Argus and the Bantams Talk message board (an improved version, tone-wise, of Claret and Banter). That whilst he relied hugely on Rahic for what was going on at the club, it wasn’t his only source of information.
    https://widthofapost.com/2018/12/04/rahics-exit-is-a-victory-for-collective-rational-argument-as-a-community-we-should-be-proud-of-standing-up-for-our-values/

I highlighted the bit about our collective input!

I guess it is well done one and all!

It is lesson on protesting; many think it will not be listened to, and a drop in the ocean etc. Collective protest on social media, fans refusing to go to VP, organising a fly bye. It all counted, as my father always taught me, stand up for what you believe in.

Isn’t that saying he read it? Rather than the protest?

At least we've given ourselves a chance. Now for the hard work. No need to shout it, we will all get behind the lads as we have always done. At least there will be a better atmosphere around VP now.

I guess what it states is that this message board, was something that Stefan Rupp discovered and then use to read, as an independent source of information. Bantam Talk has played its part in the developments.

Must have been quite enlightening for him at times. Not so much others.

Even reading the debate about the need, or not, for the flyover should have told him plenty about the fanbase in a broadly positive way.

I think this message board, has a wide range of members. We all have our own approaches and some are more unique than others. However the Poll we had about the ownership of the club, was a frightening reminder for any owner.

Would you re elect Rahic and Rupp to run Bradford City

Now it's upto Rupp to show his true colours if what he says is true the fans will certainly get behind him, do the opposite on what he says and I think he will get more stick than Edin in the long run. So over to you Stefan.

Rupp has played a blinder PR wise, the statement put out not only lays the blame firmly at the door Edin Rahic, but also tells us Rupp is completely behind the club with future investment. Not sure how long Rupp will remain in the future but for now he has bought himself a get out of jail card.

Never under-estimate the power of the pen (keyboard). We had the blind, following unwavering in their support of Rahic.
The handwringers, quick to pick up on calls for Rahic to sell up and leave, throwing at us almost accusingly to give names of whom might take over. Why dont we put our own money in was a common put down.
Well, it wasn't required, it became very evident last season Rahic couldn't handle crticism.
Social media ( and most of you) did its job, it didnt get personal to his family, or his Nationality. It was 99% aimed at him.
    He got the message.
Take a bow and applaud yourselves, you played your part.

Word has it Rahic has been telling Rupp a load of lies regarding the finances at the club over the last few months. Rupp biggest mistake for me is not having a more hands on approach but that said if Edin was painting a better story of things is trust him was misguided which probably became his downfall.

I mentioned this @Bronco@Bronco a few times in conversations over time, the fact that what was happening at the club and what actually was happening at the club were probably somewhat different. Rupp isn't to blame for this, after all, he has a lot of other business and pleasure interests that take up his time and this was Rahic's baby. There were still some even till very recently that couldn't see the wood for the trees, yet this shit show has gone on for well over twelve months. Thankfully Rupp has listened to common sense, and thankfully to the supporters. Hopefully we still have time to try and right the wrongs the egotistical knobhead managed to instill to this club during his short tenure.

Yes Well done. However im not sure moaning at absolutely everything then taking credit when something happens is entirely merited. Far more impact is made and notice is taken when the quiet majority turn.

Don’t show @Park bantam@Park bantam this thread. He’s convinced that the fans had absolutely nothing to do with this and that it’s simply the results.

I must say I feel a bit bad for Rupp in all of this.
If you went into business with a friend, who you trust, would you feel the need to have a hands on approach and be checking everything week in week out? I don't think I would... especially if that friend is feeding information that all is good.

I believe the intentions were good from Rupp, and that he was trying to help a friend realise his dream, at the same time as making a few quid. Boy has that backfired!

I believe that with Julian back, and Rupp taking a bit of a step forward things are looking up. I don't believe this season can be turned around now, but I would imagine that we will be big spenders next season to bounce right back up.
