I think he said in last weekends program notes that there was further cash available if needed. No idea what is going on.

 

I'm not sure Doyle going back to Swindon is a detrimental move for us, he goes back continues scoring and Swindon beat our fellow promotion rivals, we've played them so any wins by them can only be good for us, and of course a big wage earner off our books.
I'm more concerned about who we bring in to replace Doyle & Vaughan, Im sure things will unfold the nearer we get to deadline day.

The players are unhappy because they are playing for a moron who doesn't have a clue. I've never seen such clueless antics from a manager in my time watching City. No tactics, no strategy, no plan B I'm not even going to start on the attacking intent as it's been done to death. Saw a picture doing the rounds of GB when we are 2-0 down on Saturday, stood looking gormless with his hands in his pockets. He's done and so is this team. There's no way back for him.

23 goals in 22 games under one manager and then scores 0 in 6 for another manager....tough mystery to crack here! Must be the player who's shit...

I sponsor city through my business, i have my logo in the matchday program every week. I will not be doing this again, the club is pitiful. As a pragmatic man I gave the club, as a business, time to get back on its feet. But this season although better than last is lacking ambition, planning and coherence.

No more chances, get Rupp out, get Bowyer out, get Rhodes out.

Perhaps the massive confidence boost Patrick will get from being mentioned in the same news article as Grigg, will turn his fortunes around and he’ll become the lethal striker he was always meant to be.

We finally have Donaldson back, a player who Doyle has not had the opportunity to partner as part of a front 2. I say tell Swindon where to shove their offer, keep Doyle and see if he can strike a profitable partnership with Donaldhino.

 

I think I disagree. Even if we do get someone in. It will be as if no one has seen JV and ED leaving. Eoin Doyle leaving has been on the wall since the day he returned. Vaughan, surely someone on the inside must've realized that he and GB were beginning to but heads? Any business worth its salt builds contingency plans. We don't build plans. We go to Asda and buy a packet of plasters and whack them over the cracks.

Would there be another club in the football league that lets two of the top scorers leave within hours of one another?

I read more than I contribute on here. Sometimes I laugh at how negative people are. But even I cannot fathom what's happening. Take league position out of the equation right now and even your thoughts on GB. I feel like I'm headbutting a wall - but what is the plan moving forward medium and long term? Main issue the club has at the minute is there is so much apathy. If Rupp did come out and make a statement half the people on here would call its lies the other half would be sceptical at best. Who could blame them? Bradford City, the gift that keeps on giving.

 

Doyle and Vaughan's unhappiness at the club has nothing to do with last season, it's solely because our manager is a complete idiot who's tactics make them look like Sunday League strikers.

Vaughan has left because Bowyer-ball is embarrassing, and we were collectively stupid enough to let him go.

Vaughan having fire in his belly and wanting better for the team he captains is somehow being a bad egg?! Ridiculous. Clearly given Bowyer it both barrels and rightly so. How can he turn this around? Where's he going to find that sort of quality in Doyle and Vaughan at this level. Won't matter who we sign. Bowyer isn't going to create any chances for them so we are just wasting our time. Football is a small world, word will have got round and with Doyle hitting the headlines each week for what he did at Swindon and not with us. Strikers will be aware their reputation would be destroyed instantly 1 month after signing. Who's going to want to join us. Mercenaries/has beens or kids looking to get experience. Totally shafted once again.

 

Imagine getting rid of two strikers who could get you out of this division because you want to keep the manager who can't get the best out of them.

Let’s face it. You don’t have to be a brain surgeon to work out what’s happening here. Owner decided not to back after all in the transfer window and trying to save money asap with the 2 highest wage earners being released
This is really a very dire time to be a CITY fan and worry so much for the future of the club at this present time

 

Depends what we bid. If it was a fun size mars bar and half a bottle of Tizer then there might be something in it.

 

Absentee owners never work. But we seem to be very unlucky in that our absentee owner apparently takes little interest, does not put money in and doesn’t know anything about football. Is it any wonder it’s been downhill since he arrived.
