If Bradford City put matchday prices up to £27 and season tickets to £350 would you say the same ?

Honest question for those in the know. What are the arrangements next season for streaming/ watching L2 at home on TV, I have deduced from here Sky is doing something, but is this replacing I-follow and if so are we going to see any benefit (similar or increase in games available, better quality, and dare I ask predicted cost to the customer)?

Thanks BBB. Do you or anybody else know what it actually practically means?

It certainly is n't clear and more self-congratulatory spin than anything else, but the Championship appear to be getting half the league coverage per week. Therefore looks like we are going to only see about half the number of league games available to us now to stream over next season (5 games), and that's if they are not including cup games in this figure. And presuming we will be paying more. Hope I have read it wrong.

Based on this season we will have around 28 Saturday matches per season that would come under the Saturday blackout. Realistically we could expect 4 or 5 of those to be picked for TV coverage, so it looks like around half our matches would still fall under the Saturday blackout and, therefore, only available to "international" viewers.

The other 23 or so matches will either be available as a Sky TV match (minimum 8 cameras) or via Sky's new streaming service (minimum 2 cameras in League Two or 4 cameras in League One).

My understanding, when the announced the Sky deal, was that the games which are currently on iFollow would be made available via Sky. What hasn't yet been announced is whether that is included in your current subscription as whether it will be at an additional cost. On top of that more games that are currently Sat 3pm would be selected for regular Sky TV so expect more lunch time etc. kick-offs as a result.

If anyone knows more detail please share!

Thankyou. I have read this is as "our matches" being City not the entire EFL. So we can expect to be able to watch via one-off streaming all the City matches that are available to us in the UK (currently through I-follow); plus approx five Saturday black-out City games if we have a contract with SKY sports. And I presume some these will be home games. This feels better for fans and club than how I interpreted the article, as long as the cost is not too high to us.

Sky are definitely trying to get their money back.
My workmate’s full Sky package is going up £10 a month in January.
He said it’s gone up by an odd pound or two previously but not a tenner in one go.

Those 5 or so Saturday black-out games will, of course, be moved from Saturday 3pm for TV, with the Saturday 12:30 slot being used for many of them.

I assume that the 5 or so games which might well be moved to a 12.30 KO would be games we were involved with whether at VP or away. If that's the case, we could on average be looking at 2 or 3 VP games having to be moved to the earlier slot. Is that your understanding as well?

That seems to be the most likely scenario, although there may be occasions when matches are moved to other slots.

The other major change is that all opening and closing day matches will be shown live. We are already used to the closing day matches being moved from 3pm on a Saturday, it now seems that the opening day fixtures will be shifted likewise.

The Prem clubs are arguing amongst themselves now how much they are willing to give us out of the multi £B deal they have just agreed.

In practically any other business situation I can see your point. But with sport in general and football in particular, there's not another source of Bradford City I can access as an alternative on the market. It's either pay what they're asking or don't go, they've got the monopoly on watching City on the 1st Jan and that's why complaining about the pricing has validity,
