Who do they think they are.
Is this their normal price. If so i am not surprised at the low attendances, or are the just hoping to cash in on our possible large following.
I went at the end of last season and honestly can not remember what we paid.

Boycott it. Only way to teach them a lesson. BTW Thought there was a rule that away fans cannot be charged more than home fans?

Ridiculous number for L2 football. The Twenty's Plenty campaign doesn't seem to get the traction it should.

Some EFL clubs take the mick with it. Leeds are the highest ticket in the EFL with their away games split into CAT A & B with a Cat A away following having to pay £47 a ticket, B is £45. Only 2 championship clubs charge £20 a ticket in Cardiff & Hull. The EFL need to do something about ticket prices. I wonder if the new TV deal that comes into play next season will force their hands? Given EFL games are going to be on TV far far more often than they currently are.

Wonder if its the same price for every club who goes there ????
Or is it reserved for us Stockport and Wrexham ?????

New Years day games can be easily streamed without the need of a VPN. Sod them, £27 is a joke. Pay it and it will keep going up.

I have seen Accrington Stanley have increased prices for Bradford, Notts County and Tranmere Rovers by £5 across the board except for under 12s. £25 to stand on an open terrace that turns from concrete to metal near the back. They can feck off tbh, which is a shame because it's not a bad away day.

There is .. but we also play it to our advantage. We routinely charge £25 for league home games on the day to both home and away fans ... but if home fans buy the ticket the previous day, they are cheaper at £20. We're not alone with that kind of approach; Crewe's is simply a variant. It's poor practice and cynical imo.

    That is absolutely appalling.

It was £23 last season which is still excessive for a dump like Crewe. But £27 is just taking the absolute biscuit.

Spotted the lower prices for ‘members’. If there is an EFL rule that there should be parity, then surely City Season Ticket holders could be classed as Members and get a comparable discount?

Yet they sit in the play offs while we fester in league 2 for years to come. Who’s the winner?
so long as we pay £8 a game though it’s all good.

You may be better arguing how the money is spent rather than comparing individual club ST sales as a yardstick for success.

Is thinking not a priority ?

    22/23 Attendances
    BCAFC 17,787 x £8 (Your figure) = £
    Crewe 4,289 x £20 = £

I’ll let you do the sums

No need to even think about peripheral sales on matchday or merchandise with 4 TIMES the attendees.

He enjoys his little wind ups does our Loyal, I'm sure if he and other who believe were getting football on the cheap wanted to give more the club could accommodate them, as they did years ago anyone who wanted to pay extra went into the McCall players fund I believe.

Think they are allowed to charge less for members as long as the costs work out. Eg if membership costs £100 then they could offer tickets at £4 cheaper.

Noticed the other day that Accrington are charging our fans more than usual due to extra policing costs

    Your sums are incorrect @Kevin1954@Kevin1954
    The equation should be
Crewe Season ticket number sold (not available on the internet?) X £15.87
    Bradford City 15,054 X £8.61
    https://www.crewealex.net/siteassets/image/pdfs/23-24-season-tickets/pdf-season-tickets-brochure/final-st-brochure.pdf

The actual attendances will include POTD, which are the average figures.

It may well be that Crewe’s figures include a higher percentage of visiting supporters than City’s gate.

Even then the figures will not be totally correct, as both clubs will have categories of supporters who pay less than the adult Season Ticket price.

l would be surprised if Crewe has over 3,200 season ticket holders and as with City a proportion will be Seniors, Students and Children.

Of course they are incorrect Rod , I deliberately used the “ quoted” figures. A point was trying to be made and extrapolated to show a comparison that wasn’t possible to be made using the “£8 a game” and £20 a ticket at Crewe.

I should have explained it better rather than being cryptic. ?
