Crewe have every right to charge what they want just like we do.
Stop pissing and moaning, if you can’t afford it or object to the price then don’t go. Simple.

Certainly one of the more expensive ones. I got our tickets last night but the thing that really p1ssed me off is that we wanted to sit in the family stand as it is £2 per ticket cheaper, but our ticket office said they have to totally sell out the dearer Whitby Morrison stand first before they can sell the cheaper tickets. No mention of this anywhere on our website or the ticketing website. Poor communication again from City

I agree with @Loyalbantam@Loyalbantam. Clubs have the right to charge what they want, as long as they don't break any rules, and if the customer deems it too expensive then just vote with your feet. I buy fish paste because I can't afford caviar.

I had earmarked this one as one of my 3 or 4 away games I get to every year( I work a lot of weekend shifts) but at at that price they can stick it up their posteriors

For those moaning about the people moaning about the price (note the irony) - it's perfectly acceptable to discuss and debate ticket prices, especially those that seem too high.

Whilst you're correct that those who deem it too expensive can simply just not go and/or watch it on iFollow, that's besides the point. We shouldn't just bend over backwards and accept whatever price clubs choose to charge us because 'they can legally charge what they like'. We as supporters have a right to speak out and make our points if we don't agree. If you're happy with paying £27 for League Two match at Crewe - absolutely fine - but understand some people aren't ok with that as we feel as though we're being ripped off and unfairly charged.

It's not necessarily about affordability - we could all afford a pint of beer at some point during the season if they were suddenly hiked to £10 per pint in VP - doesn't mean we should just 'accept it' because the club can 'choose to price it this way' and not voice our concerns/disagreement with the pricing.

To summarise, it is unfair to chastise your fellow supporters for disagreeing with what we're being charged.

Don't bend over backwards then. Simply don't pay it. As with anything in business if its that bad people won't turn up and they might have to revise their business plan.

I won't be paying it, and I had no intention of going to Crewe - that's besides the point though.

Why shut people who down who question overly excessive ticket prices? Let's flip the lid - If the price is ok for you - then don't comment on a thread that is calling out excessive ticket prices.

Why get upset about something you can't do owt about? Crewes business plan may see them need to charge £27 for a ticket. Theres a discussion to be had about ticket prices but i find it bemusing when folk get upset. Its a couple of quid above our away price but you don't see a discussion on here saying we should drop our ticket price?

To be fair to City, away tickets at Valley Parade, are priced exactly the same as they are for home supporters.

This is a cut and paste from the Salford Ticket Web page. Adults (24-65): £20 in advance / £25 on matchday https://www.salfordcityfc.co.uk/news/2023/november/24/bradford-city-a-tickets-on-sale/

There is no early discount for City fans going to Crewe. A flat rate of £27. https://www.bradfordcityafc.com/news/2023/december/crewe-tickets-now-on-sale/

The difference in price is quite dramatic at £7 and over a third more.

They can't charge away fans more than home.

They circumvent that by having a lower price for ‘members’, not practical for City fans to become a ‘member’ for one game. A not to subtle ploy, to avoid charges that they are treating away fans unfairly.

On the subject of ticket pricing our 3rd Round game v Bristol City
    8,924 away tickets priced at
    Season Ticket Holders
    Adults £10
    Senior (66+) £10
    18-21 £10
    Under-18 £1
    Non-Season Ticket Holders
    Adults £15
    Senior (66+) £15
    18-21 £15
    Under-18 £5

I know it's a different competition, but £27 for L2 game seems a tad high

PL clubs don’t need fans to make money, it’s handed to them on a plate.
Maybe some of that wealth should filter down the leagues so that we don’t see £27 prices at Crewe

Or maybe ask Crewe what they've done with the £4.3M they got from the PL (City got £3M in the same period)

I know there’s a ‘solidarity’ payment from the PL but the point is that fans are almost irrelevant to PL clubs as a source of income. They could let fans in for free and it wouldn’t make a dent.
Why did Crewe get 4.3m and us only 3m?
