For years the club has been run poorly and now Rupp is loaning us money because the club doesn't plan ahead to protect itself.

I bet Rhodes has had more extensions to his house than the improves he has made to this club. A poorly run business.

So s the McBurnie money now now going into Rupp's back pocket? or is it going towards the club?

It seems a lot of people behind the scenes rated him highly, to them it was no surprise an upcoming ambitious club at the time took what was a very very low risk gamble in terms of what they would lose. It does show what our remit as a club was under Parkinson and we very rarely if ever develop any young talent. I remember him being thrown in at the deep end when Hanson was injured, if Hanson had stayed fit McBurnie would likely have never played a league game for us. A once in generation home run for a team like us. Rupp is an extremely lucky guy, seems we as a club are not.

 

We won't though mate....We go at slug speed also. New kit, season ticket refunds, season ticket packages for next season(suppose that is dependent on when the EFL starts and if starting without fans etc).

Main reason we won't though is because what you say makes sense and we don't want to show that ambition. McCall highlighting the 4 youth players promoted to the squad and using the loan market. I think we have decided already not to splash the cash..I think we are in bigger trouble than we make out.

 

Wouldn't call Rupp lucky mate...For a bloke that doesn't like football(so they say) this deal to buy Bradford City has been a disaster from start to finish for him.

The club isn't run correctly at board level to generate luck..Poorly run for years.

 

The owner of Mansfield is worth 1-5 million pounds.

Even if someone is bankrolling them, their potential is very limited as a town/club that size.

With the number of times they've changed hands, they're almost certainly Bury Mk II unless someone knows something about their financial structure?

I wouldn't be jealous of them one bit, they look like just another shambles in waiting.

Yes, very strange as clubs normally announce this in their retained lists.

Would be strange considering Sparks and McCall have said they'll be part of the squad.

It has been stated on here that Rupp has no interest in football and was only in it for the money. I have wondered ever since he bought us if that was really the case. Now he's a businessman so I'm sure he would hope to make money, or at least not lose it. But I do wonder if his reason for buying the club was not as a business investment but as an ultimate "boys toy", something his wealthy mates haven't got. Along the lines of his motor racing - that probably costs him too. Just my thoughts

 

The problem in Midland Road stand is that the taps are not maintained so they don't turn off. Once turned on, they run for ever so any hot water will soon disappear.
