Grayson saying in the Blackpool Gazette this morning that there will be no players leaving unless he can get replacements in first. If Bowyer is hopeful of getting a new face in before Saturday, Devitt may not be the one.

 

Cooke looks to be favourite reading the T&A

 

Sounds like it to me. If it is Cooke, with him being transfer listed, I wonder whether this will be a permanent signing we are looking at?

 

Playing the media as some say all managers do.

Devitt wasn't even in the squad yesterday so he's not important to Mr Championship Manager

 

Seems to be extremely difficult this time around to get a concrete rumour for who is coming in.

 

Don't know much about Cooke at all. What's he like?
Quite suprised we haven't brought in any higher league youngsters on loan actually. It's normally a thing we do. Sometimes they come good. I think a young striker who can make an impact from the bench would be good. NOT like Patrick.

 

I think Peterborough want a fee for him . It’s difficult to find opinions on him

 

His stats don't look that great for an attacking midfielder but he is only 22. He may have potential but right now, it feels like what we are desperate for in the centre is experience.

 

There’s still time for that to happen. Especially when the realisation hits home that they’ll be stuck in the development squads until January at the earliest.

 

That's what makes me think it will be permanant, cannot see the benefit of Posh loaning out, if they want a fee. Didnt they turn down a fee earlier in the summer for him, from another club?

 

I have had a look around, not in any depth I admit, but there doesn’t seem to be much out there on Cooke? He is a 22 year old midfielder, but no idea where he like to play? Plus I am really pleased that GB is putting good character and the ability to fit in our team with the right ethics near the top of the list.

 

He’s an attacking midfielder and we wanted him on loan earlier in the window but McAnthony said he won’t loan him out. He said that 50 grand was the asking price and that one club had afforded a much lower bid for him which he described as been pathetic.

 

We could always send back Anderson in P/X...

 

Its funny you should mention that. Did wonder this morning of any of our fringe players could be included as part of any deals. Especially if we're dealing with other L2 teams. Perhaps the likes of Akpan could potentially carry some bargaining weight. We can only hope (pardon the pun)

 

He was highly rated but to be fair that's some midfield at Posh. And I love Toney theIR forrad..... Not a patch on our two beasts tho

Akpan's certainly carrying some weight. Whether that can be used for bargaining is another matter.....
