I asked the original question at the weekend and got great help getting up to date.
My reason for asking is to get Rhodes to review the position and decide with the player,the agent, the lawyer and if necessary the PFA
whether the club were right to give an open ended suspension to cover their position.
I think that we shot ourselves in the foot by trying to be seen to be doing "the right thing"
If it is correct that Tyrrell is not charged by the police at the moment then in my book the lad is innocent until
proven guilty and as such should be playing. He is also our most valuable asset and is being wasted while we continue
to pay him.

A big imposing and talented forward is a great option.
Equally, our inability to defend well is also an issue.

The whole playing side needs a total rethink, and set up. As you say, in January fees are inflated - Therefore, I only expect Herr Rupp to finance City just enough to get us out of the crap, and the Club as a whole to be rebuilt in the summer.

 

We need at least 4. We don't score enough and we concede too many soft goals. That's why we're bottom!

Players to the standard of Meredith, McArdle, Marhsall, Cullen and Wyke - in those positions - are what we need. And it'd transform the side.

It won't come cheap, hopefully Rupp makes good on his promise to put some money in.

 

Without a doubt quality costs, but I not sure the £1m mentioned yesterday is all going on player transfers.

 

This January is going to be so damn hard for all of Rupp, Rhodes and Hopkin.
In our current position - We need at least four ugly, no nonsense battlers who can deliver the goods.
However - These same 4 or 5 players are unlikely to be in any long term plans. Therefore heavily incentivised pay offers could be key in getting the players this side needs NOW ............ Not to mention convincing their current Clubs to release them !! I truly hope Hopkin was honest in his statement that plans are in motion, regarding January.

 

It's probably not. And we'll have to cut our cloth accordingly. But we need 4-5 Quality signings to have any chance of staying up. Hopefully we manage to bag a couple of quality loans on the cheap. Perhaps some clubs that wouldn't deal with Rahic will now be willing to come back to the table.

As much as I'd like 4/5 quality signings I don't think that will happen, possibly a couple and some more loans whatever that entails within Football League rules, I do believe not only us Bradford City fans are happy that he's gone but others within football circles won't lose any sleep with regards Edin's exit.

 

Sunderland are sniffing around Payne. We need to get out what we can from him while we can :-(

They are going to lose Maja, who is out of contract and has been tracked by several higher league clubs.

I agree not a brilliant replacement but may give us time to sign another of similar ilk rather than leave us short for January. Time is against us this season

 

If we are looking for a big commanding centre half how about Wheater at Bolton , he fits the bill and is not in their side at present.

Was concerned that he might not get the year's extension because he didn't want to move - well surely Bradford would be suitable then, as he wouldn't have to uproot his family.

We definitely need a centre half, left back, two wingers and a striker. The striker and centre half an absolute must.
Recall McCarten and get shut of Seedorf. Offload the likes of Wright, Devine and Gibson, loan or permanent. The squad needs trimming and it'll release some funds for wages.
