He was a free agent for approximately the two hours after signing his release documentation with Preston then driving to Bradford to sign his contract.

We only deal in free agents. Interesting it says permanent deal initially to the end of the season. Yeah, thats what they said to Jim O’Brien. Don’t get too settled Callum, you’ll be shown the door in the summer when the old favourite ‘defecit’ will be wheeled out again.

 

I agree. Rice is versatile. It's also a bit dull.

 

I don't think there's anything wrong in players who are comfortable in two or more positions. It certainly never did te dutch teams of 1974 to 88 any harm

Seriously, we need some flexible players. Saturday was ridiculous in how one dimensional the individuals at the back are, with the exception of Caddis. If your remember McCardle could play RB or CB when we bought him. McMahon RB or RM. I'd say they turned out to be good signings

 

What we need is some cous cous or quinoa.

 

Come on BB spill the beans, who’s this Rice bloke? Can he play central midfield and fill at striker? Will he be announced tomorrow by Parker?

No just there has been talks with 3 players 2 of which are as good as done woods obviously is the first

Talk about weird, Hopkin doesn't want c. wood for left back but c. woods is ok?

 

We don’t need anymore flexibility. We have a decent enough keeper and right back. We need a Centre back to complement what are three bang average CBs. We need a left back. We have O’Brien in midfield but desperately need a replacement for Jim O’Brien as Akpan flatters to decieve. Colville has promise but is inexperienced and Anderson has only just got here. Upfield we have god players in Ball and Payne and Scannell to come back. We desperately need a striker, both Doyle and Miller have struggles in any system we played but do look better when the ball is on the deck.
By my reckoning we need a left back (Woods?), a central midfielder to take the load off a tired looking LOB and a striker who can deal with a barrage of long balls. A wide player if we are lucky, hopefully Scannell recovers quickly.

Sounds very injury prone if you read the Preston fans comments. Hopefully he can hit the ground running but his fitness is questionable.

 

Funny i’m sure we offered O’Brien a contract to the endnof the season, he also mentioned when he came he was hoping to impress to earn a longer contract. And if we are looking at injured players don’t looks at Woods record over the last couple of seasons.

 

Don't think you'll be signing Declan anytime soon, Pat might do a job at LB though primarily an RB, seeing a trend here, cereal signing of out off contract players
