Possibly, but there will be few players of real quality available for free, so we could potentially end up in a situation where we pay a fee for someone, and then lose that investment in the summer when they leave for a quid.

I'm 50/50 - I've heard that Rupp is still very much interested in being here in the long term and is prepared to put money into putting us right. But then the manner of our January business so far is very much underwhelming. The loan signing of Paudie O'Connor makes absolutely no sense whatsoever to me.

I don't have a problem with a few short term deals for players in their early 30's - in fact, that might be very much what we need. But its about reliability and character - we don't need world beaters. Look at Dieng - he was always a bit beige when he was here, and he was the same on saturday. Kept it simple, but did his job and massively outshone the supposedly more prestigious Akpan. 4 solid pro's with good experience of this league and the right attitude would make a big difference.

 

Totally agree. Experience is what we need at the moment, like Caddis, O'Brien, grafters who can use their experience to keep us up.

 

Panic setting in again but why wouldn't it? We need a big striker/target man says TA then mention Billy Clarke as a possible name in the frame.I hope there is more clarity than that.Don't they know he's not that big striker and he's just back from a serious injury.

These last two games have imploded our hope again.Teams around us are showing their intent and only determination and belief will save us from the drop.

Once again we've been fed optimism prior to the window and now the reality is there for all to see.If we don't get the right players in it will be touch and go till the end of the season.

I think its only Simon Parker suggesting Billy Clarke might come back I see no positives in bringing him back to Bradford City.
