    Let's be honest with ourselves. We probably won't be signing anyone, and if we do they'll be shit. With no funds our best hope is finding a hidden gem on a free who's miraculously gone undiscovered, and we're really not fortunate enough for that to happen to us.

    That's probably not the only reason.

    But if it were financially viable, I'd love to see some kind of competition between European second, third and fourth tier sides.

    I imagine English teams would win 9 times out of 10.

    It's not just about the back 4.

    We kept clean sheets because we didn't have to do as much defending around our own box as a result of:

    Pressing high up the pitch, which disrupted the opposition being able to play up to our box and allowed us to move up the pitch as a team, and
    Playing a passing game which prevented a constant turnover of possession.

    We've stopped doing the things which worked so well. Which isolates our shaky defence.

    We're easy to work out. We have no width so the opposition just need to defend the 20 square yard box in front of their area. Our left back is weak, so you target that area. And pur central midfield lacks balance so if you put 3 in there against us, we can't cope.
